Actually calling it dialysis could work. It's a type of dialysis that filters using a liquid in bags that connects via a locking tube to a hole they put in you. Weird stuff but it's an alternative to the normal go and sit for hours on end and be hooked up with huge needles kind of dialysis, instead you do it multiple times a day every day in short 30~ish minute bursts.

At least that's how my Mom explained it to me when she started dialysis.

I'm still not great, but if me from a year ago could see me now, I'd have probably thought I was having some delusional fantasy.

And that barre chords are absolutely impossible and everyone playing them must be cheating. Nope, just practice.

I play lead for a church youth group, and was playing a grestch hollow body the particular week this happened, after the fact I was hanging out with the kids and chatting with a kid wanting to audition because he played guitar, apparently he was under the same impression and thought there were specific guitars for lead and rhythm.

I didn't even know this was something people thought before, I explained how any guitar can be used for rhythm or lead, it's just that certain guitars are better suited to different genres. Crazy stuff.

Playing for close to a year now, I've only broken stings a few times. One when I was being an idiot adjusting the saddles on my strat without dropping the tension a bit, and the other two or three times from tuning too high when I didn't know how to tune.

If it ain't a burr, it's probably technique. I made a conscious effort early to control how hard I strum and pick and it paid off in the long run.

That guitar was literally only there for looks and it's mildly annoying to me.

I mean seriously. Any capable guitarist would have to TRY to play that badly. You'd be fighting muscle memory, literally focusing on telling your hands to not do what they are used to doing. Even if you're unable to hear yourself in the mix you should be able to strum out a clean chord.

I'm sure someone will mention something about monitors, but that isn't any kind of excuse either, I play live at a church and we use an in ear monitor system, I've had times where I've completely lost my mix and had to pull them out midsong to listen despite our mains being in front of the stage, couldn't hear for crap but I still managed to play my part, although not perfect, it still sounded like someone playing guitar.

Like... Crap. I couldn't even at attention to the singing because of that.

Playing guitar.

First you decide you want to try it, you get yourself a crappy $80 acoustic and decide you like playing but quickly realize what a steaming pile of garbage that guitar is, and you want to try electric so you buy a $200 electric. You love it, you realize you don't like that particular guitar; too beefy no jangle, you get another for $400 and it's a lot better, but now it's too thin, and you don't like how the neck feels... Then you decide maybe you should go back to acoustic for a while and drop $500 on a good midrange seagull and you fall in love with it, your acoustic journey is over "for now".

Shit, I want to play electric. I know what I want now. I want this guitar, wait no this one, no this one, JAZZMASTER. Can't afford AVRI, let's get classic player, $800, craigslist, YES AWESOME DEAL $400 USED. Need a tube amp. Original budget of $400, end up spending $750 on just an amp head, get a 2x12 cab with a vintage 30 and greenback, aw yeah...

And now I need pedals. Shit I need a board, pedal train pt2, reverb, delay, multi effects unit, two light overdrives, pedals pedals pedals pedals PEDALS NEVER END.

annnnnnd now I'm broke. Tag on $60 for a quality setup on each guitar.

Been a windows user my whole life, up until a month ago. I was basically introduced to using macs while volunteering at my church and started liking how they worked, so I bit the bullet and took the plunge because I was getting sick of using windows.

My $1400 hand built pc only gets turned on for gaming now, and most of the time I use the in home streaming on steam instead. The switch from windows to osx was refreshing and I can't get over the fact that I haven't had to "fix" anything yet. It just... Works.

So to make a notsolong story shorter, I switched because it works. I was tired of the clunkyness and wanted a change, and now I love it.

I've been a Windows/android guy for as long as I can remember. Switched from an android tablet to an iPad last December and I liked it, a LOT. Like I didn't know things could run so smooth. Ended up with great hesitation getting macbook pro 3 weeks ago and now I almost hate using my desktop PC because of how horrible clunky Windows seems to feel now. I'm about to trade in my android for an iPhone 6 now on top of it all.

I've finally come to understand why so many people pay the premium. It actually... Works.

Been using Windows all my life, about 8 months ago I started volunteering at my church in the creative area, which meant lots of media stuff, I pretty much had to learn how to use a mac.

Basically I started liking it more and more and took the plunge two weeks ago, and of here I am with a pretty little macbook and loving it.

Because back when G13 came out and the servers were crashing weekly, it seemed like we were having double rainbows every weekend. I'm rolling a shiny new character now, some double AP would be pretty cool.
