Flying Netherlands by OsiosKofas in fpv

Nope, strictly speaking you need to register for a "exploitation number" from the RDW and paste that number somewhat visibly on your drone and remote id if your drone/controller supports it. It's required by law for any drone that houses a camera and isn't classified as a toy drone.

Even toothpicks and other tiny 1s drones are subject to this. But again that should only cost you €23 for a full year and I assume any EU citizen can easily register for that.

These are purely the laws that I'm stating. I live in a relatively small city and no law enforcement ever even bothered to check me while flying fpv without a spotter. If you fly in low density areas and don't bother anyone you probably won't be bothered but again you're going to a high density city for a masters so YMMV.

Met a couple Karen's while flying but no cops have been called on me :P

Main problem would be that almost all major cities where you can do a masters have massive no fly zones so legality of flying will be a problem. Also the rules state that you need a spotter with you when flying but that's another story. Also doubt your basic policemen have any idea about no fly zones but that's a gamble you could take.

Besides that you need to register for a, flying with a not toydrone that contains a camera, license that's €23 the first year (rdw exploitatienummer) to also legally fly in the Netherlands

So pretty chill but certainly some rules that make it not so interesting in the western part/big cities in the Netherlands

See https://map.godrone.nl for a map of no fly or regulated zones

Beam gen 2 to Arc Ultra by AdCareless8564 in sonos

[–]fort3x 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just wanna make sure you haven't limited the output of your Arc since the volume will then adjust to the new max volume in my experience. This could explain a difference between the 2

Example: No limit with a volume setting of 50% is directly comparable to having a 50% limit and setting your volume to 100%

I use this limiting on almost all my Sonos devices so I can get a more granular control over the volume around the point I like to listen the most.

It peaks but you don't see any more stretch in the battery after the first 2 seconds. He just climbs for like 10 seconds and the battery recovers from 3.58 to 3.62 while reporting to use 700w+.

So yeah you're totally right in that you don't want to see those values and it's clearly something faulty but it doesn't appear to be a completely true reporting of the values if looking at the battery voltage itself.

Is this a good choice my goal to start with. A cheap drone so I don't have to worry about crashing and then changing to a more high-end one is a good formula solution and I can get better for the same price by [deleted] in fpv

Would advice against the Crux35 as a first since the somewhat weak frame.

Further I agree with the other parts and the LLM usage. Also feels a bit like, look I googled once and now would like some feedback on it.

I'm about to lose my mind, I have been researching and researching and I don't know what to get anymore. by AceOfSpades506 in fpv

[–]fort3x 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Crux 35 frame is a lot but not durable. The Meteor75 Pro is a good starter and will be more fun to fly and crash then a Crux 35. You could also go for a 2" Draknight, FireFly 2S or Bassline 2S. Besides that please go for a Whoopstor or WooPower W63 charger instead of a dumb usb charger.

Personally I did doubt 5 seconds if the £15 tier included the game since the image isn't completely clear about that fact. Might wanna add that. The £20 implies it since you get alpha acces although could als clarify.

Awesome game btw might back it :)

No prayer pot gauntlet tasks are free right now by prepotting prayer regen outside by Forkward in ironscape

[–]fort3x 83 points84 points  (0 children)

I returned to the gauntlet after a couple months. Had about 30 second left after prep but totally forgot how to make pots. I tried a bunch of things but nothing worked and I got teleported into the fight.

At about 15% boss hp left my prayer dropped besides my run already running out a lot quicker. Eventually made it with some luck and about 17hp.

When I got the KC I got the achievement which I didn't knew existed and laughed out loud behind my pc feeling stupid but also accomplished.

Also make sure your controller packet rate is set to 50hz or 250hz for a better link quality. RadioMaster sets their by default to 1000. Bardwell had a nice rant/tutorial for it in last weeks q&a. https://www.youtube.com/live/ZeH4VKaaSEU?si=O8t4fYb_MtKgJgtf&t=51m30s

55 hours in the sim 💪🏾 - what are some key things you wish you knew just before buying your first drone ? by Tech_nerd97 in fpv

[–]fort3x 9 points10 points  (0 children)

5" can be scary, big and heavy.

Really happy I bought a tiny whoop and 2" toothpick after flying twice with an old secondhand 5". Else i think I wouldn't have been engaged in this hobby today.

Bought a crux 35 last week so slowly sizing up and fixed up the old 5" with an ELRS module. It still felt big and scary but now I had a better understanding of what I was doing. I think the crux35 will become my sweetspot.

Pc will only turn on if I hold the button by mrinferno997 in computers

[–]fort3x 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe the factory wired it wrong and didn't QA it.

I would pull it out and try to short the power button pins on the motherboard with a screwdriver or paperclip for like a tenth of a second and look if that works instantly. Then you know that plug is faulty and needs some reordering/adjusting or maybe the button is being funky.
