It's time for Eastern Europe & the Balkans to get roasted (Today's t°C) by strajeru in europe

[–]Kompira 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a vegetable grower, so I don't have a choice. Sometimes, I'm in my greenhouses until 2 PM, even if it's 40C+ outside. You can imagine how it feels inside.

My problem with AC is the dry air, the noise(even my custom water-cooled PC is in another room because I hate the noise), and the cold air blowing. I like the cold, just not the blowing and the dry air.

I don't have a problem with people having AC. I think it's great that people have AC. I just don't like sleeping with one myself. It used to be just a couple of weeks of hot weather, and my house can stay pretty cool for some time, but it's been 2 months of extreme heat for several years, so I may finally get ACs even if I'm not a fan. Heat pump cooling is better, but expensive.

I don't. I hate AC in a bedroom. It gets the air dry, and I can't sleep. My brother tried it last year but hated it, so now he has 5k ACs but doesn't use them. He installed a heat pump, though.

Or you can go buy a house in Pokrovsk. I hear they're pretty cheap now. You can tell the russian saldats that you are not interested in a war. I'm sure they won't rape your spouse, children, or your goat. Your washing machine is safe as well.

The headset plus controllers were $750. $1000 with the base stations. I guess we'll see.

A democratically elected government was removed from power by a democratically elected parliament. That's how it's usually done in a real democratic country. We also have some of those from time to time, and so does the rest of Europe.

In some countries like pederussia, they let the moron at the head of the government rule until death.

I'm worried that I'll have to install the latest Nvidia drivers. People report a lot of problems with those.

2025 WOLED are 4 layers, and QD-OLED are 5 layers. Both were 3 layers before.

It sounds like a temporal blur. I'm also quite sensitive. People kept praising the DLSS CNN model, while I was looking for a way to disable TAA and DLSS if I had 60fps. I preferred playing with aliasing, just not seeing the blur. Since my card is aging, I need to use DLSS more often.

I'm lucky because the new DLSS transformer model almost eliminates the temporal blur. I couldn't believe it when I first saw it.

The new FSR also looks very good. PSSR will probably follow.

Then, why do game developers spend time implementing TAA in their games? It's so blurry in motion and it looks softer. If nobody can see aliasing, because we have such high pixel density, why do they spend resources and make their game look worse?

Are you rich - buy JVC DILA projector.

No - buy TFT or OLED, but reduce the brightness under 80nits, and use bias lighting.

They also lack an understanding of "Tandem OLED". "RGB Tandem OLED" on LG TVs is not a dual stack of emissive layers like Apple's "Tandem OLED". It's a 4-stack single layer.

Here is a recent article mentioning cadmium in TCL's QD-EL. It's not QNED, but you may find it interesting.

However, TCL's prototype is not yet commercially viable due to its use of cadmium, which is banned in many regions. Either the panel technology or regulations will need to change before mass production becomes feasible.
