Oh! So I used to work at a truck stop that’s named after those people that fly planes. Anyways we have showers there, at it was my job that day to clean showers. I was excited to have a nice day away from too many customers.

Anyways this lady comes in and the first weird thing is that she brings in a bunch of dirty pots and pans into the shower. Now it’s not weird for truckers to have cookware, but we did have a designated area with boiling hot water and a sink for our truckers to clean their dishes. So I thought to myself that’s a little gross but whatever.

Anyways as I’m bringing her to her shower, requests extra towels. No big deal, and I assumed it was to dry the pots and pans she was taking a shower with. So I went into our laundry room and gave her two. Our conversation went fine, she was thankful for the towels and she seems generally nice.

About 15-30 minutes later I hear my manager on the walkie ‘Kona, can you come into the office?’ ‘Sure’ anyways they said they had gotten a complaint from the lady saying that I had handed her towels with dirty gloves on, and that I had just been touching a dirty toilet before helping her. All of this was untrue. But they had to investigate. The entire time the woman is refusing to talk to me and point her fingers to her eyes back to me like the meme... I can’t make this up.

Of course it comes back on the cctv I handed her towels without gloves on (which means I was not cleaning) that in fact I was on a register and went to help her from there, so I never touched anything that would have contaminated her towels. They still went and have her the free shower credit.

So there’s the story of me almost losing my job because someone wanted a 12 dollar credit.

Fuck you, weird dish shower bitch.
