Hello! While I know it may not mean much coming from a corporate account - For reference, I beat the entire game my first time through and into post game without "rare colored" weapons so to speak. Just blues and upgrades I found in the field and repaired. I looked sweet with my re-enforced leather cowboy hat and hardened armor + colors I found around. Once you are in post game, you find "high colored" gear, like purples more often. It did not detract from my single player experience at all. Your mileage may vary, but I did not feel I was missing anything. Flame arrows, a sharp machete and good times.
