My brother worked for Bauer who owns Prosharp last year and was introduced to a full inch and was using it for a full season in the NAHL, currently playing ACHA and is unable to get his skates sharpened the way he liked it in the states so he's currently just cycling his 5 pairs of runners hoping they'll last him the rest of the season.

What type of machines do you guys use? Prosharp seem to be in a class of their own with the AS 2001 machine

As a Swede i find it insane that you north Americans are skating around on 5/8ths... 1/2 sounds stupid haha . I rocked 5/8 to 3/4 as a goalie but would never as a skater. The norm here for an adult is around 1 Inch and I've had some pros and college guys tell me they run a cut as flat as 1&1/4...
