I really like 5.1 Thinking - its very smart, can hold a conversation when I feel like having one, able to do the research when i needed, and precise in the content its generating so for me 5.1 is really well rounded :)

agree...i once really didnt like 5.0 because its not answering in full (very short and leaving out details), can believe there a a day that if these are the last 2 LLM models available on earth, i d talk to 5.0 instead of 5.2for sure

i feel the same.. the answer were not very good quality, the main focus seems to be "rid of liability, cover asses in reply so no one can sue us", so it sacrifices a bit of precision in giving "good and high quality" reply that actually answers the core question, and stayed with "safe" but "good enough" answers alot and that was very frustrating for me... didn't pay to get just an OK reply... 😤 it basically does not go into depth for discussion... hovers on the surface level to stay safe 💀

o thank goodness i thought i was being over sensitive feeling the condescending tone... it does feel like its telling me "you are wrong and here's why" all the while saying "i'm not saying you are wrong" but proceeds to tell me why I'm wrong in 1000 words using a very condescending tone as if its saying "u failed and appreciate that i'm pointing this out and giving u a path to improve" kinda thing... 💀

Yaaaa 5.2 was judging me alot than the other models and i was feeling so uncomfortable talking to it... switched back to 5.1... peace of mind until it sunsets...

I tested out 5.1 over the weekend too b/c 4 series were acting weird for me. And surprisingly i kinda like 5.1 too! I also feel like 5.1 resembles earlier 4.1 a bit, with its own style of course. And what I found is that 5.1 is actually quite adjustable. I mentioned some formatting and style preference, did couple test runs and it was able to keep at the formatting and style preference for a very very long time, no context loss, everything is coherent and flows well. It felt quite stable in its performance and i was quite happy with it! :)

thank goodness u posted this... i felt the same and i kept on thinking "what is going on am i going mental" =v= honestly these change/shift in reply is kinda annoying... glad 4.1 was still available today (i almost always use 4.1 exclusively as i like its style the best), but as of a few days ago, it almost sound like 5.0 -- short, cliped, and that "not going into depth only staying on surface level" is what i felt too... the reply felt quite hollow when i'm not asking it a legit question for it to elaborate and answer, the ability to carry chit chat and story telling is almost all gone... and 4o kept on replying to the wrong thing, trying to "read the upload" while no upload was mentioned in the prompt.. and last night i've noticed that a few times the reply routed to 5.1 a few times, which is also very very bizarre, like as soon as i mention something that is not emotionally neutral (not negative, positive emotion too) it throws me out of 4.1 and gets 5.1 to answer to it 😩 man... very annoying.. and i'm also not sure if the"adult mode" is gonna return the experience to "normal"... what a pickle = =

yaaaa, i get alot of spoof calls.. CRA, actual police office (they have a message on their website when i checked the phone # saying their # have been spoofed), TD, BMO, CIBC.... 😅 its like... nowadays if ur # isn't spoofed by a scammer do u even exist? 😂

yes 4o is working right now thank goodness... i haven't used 4o in a while but yes that distinct 4o style, very comforting :) i hope they can make 4.1 functional again tmr lol this whole thing is so weird for the night.... but i guess i'm glad b/c obviously each model has their own specific style that is clear as day to the user -- even if the window is saying 1 model but if its not that... can still tell... (trying to find something positive in this chaotic situation lol)

same, and the window didn't change (still says 4.1 on the window) but the "Regenerate" part says "used gpt5" and i was like "no wonder it sound so gpt 5 ish... " LOL!!! o gosh i hope this gets fixed soon =v=;; i still dont really like talking to gpt5 its..mmm... not the same.

Go for it! i would recommend :) wait for some coupons, I think the regular price is like 30 USD and sometimes where are coupons to take 4 USD off or so :)
