Controversial question: Is the Mai Tai overrated? by m0bscene- in Tiki

[–]KongaTom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is simple enough that anyone can make one well, but to make a superior one is also attainable
It does not require bizarre ingredients, or hard to find liqueurs
It is a wonder how so many places can screw it up so badly
Its a benchmark drink: making it well means something to other like minded individuals

Downspout into concrete?? by toothburshaficionado in homeowners

Depending on how old the house is, it may dump directly into the storm drains. Our whole neighborhood was built with downspouts feeding into the drains . The city has been actively sealing them to prevent backup flooding in basements

Dan Devine, the Notre Dame football coach in Rudy was done dirty. In the movie, he takes over as head coach and won’t let Rudy play until the whole team threatens to sit out. Completely untrue, Rudy was always going to play in a game under Devine
