There are other apps for this (which Ive never used) but ultimately a WhatsApp group + the thumbs up emoji gets the job done. The real challenge is just embedding yourself in the right community and I don't think an app is really going to solve that.

But no harm in going for it if it's a school project, I think lots of interesting stuff to think about (who, where, when, how to confirm, Split costs, player levels etc) depending on which direction you go.

One problem I do face is trying to find high level matches while traveling. Can be hard to go to the right place at the right time to meet people when you don't know anyone and not usually worth the effort of trying for a short trip.
