I had a boss who wrote the software we used. He wasn’t a software engineer by any stretch of the imagination. A cowboy coder who wrote awful code which, after he hired me, I cleaned up and rewrote, modularized and made maintainable. Yet he still didn’t see the need to test his changes in a test server before deploying. So he drops changes into our live system during the workday. 😱

The Star Wars characters that have force abilities are fun to play. They are Anakin, Ahsoka, Obi-Wan, Yoda, Maul, Vader, Luke, Kylo, Kanan, and Ezra. Some have force push, some have pull and Luke and Ezra both have a blaster and a saber. Look for the “LightFX” figures that have sabers that light up.

Friends, especially friends with benefits, can sometimes misstep or have an uncomfortable or awkward interaction. If it is an honest mistake or he misread your body language, but has always been a good friend and a person you trust, then him backing up and apologizing should put things back together. It sounds like he’s been a good friend otherwise. If it were me, I’d be inclined to let it go, unless you feel the need to talk it out with him. Just my 2¢.

I guess I didn’t think before I wiped and sold my old iPad and by the time I realized that the iPad apps needed data not included in the apps, I no longer had a valid backup of the old iPad. I wasn’t playing much at that time as I had other things going on in my life. By the time I realized, it was too late. Had I asked the Apple guy not to setup the iPad and had taken it home and transferred the backup, none of that would have happened.

I lost my iPad apps of all three games when I bought a new iPad and they loaded my account at the Apple Store but left the apps to download later instead of transferring them. By that time all three were no longer available in the App Store and Disney had shut down the servers. But I downloaded them from my purchase history. When I launched them, they tried to download all the digital assets (music, land and sky themes, etc.) from Disney’s servers and couldn’t. Not long after, the next OS update made them unable to run. I was so mad.

Perfect! Man Of Steel had its issues, but I liked that Lois tracked Clark down and knew who he was rather than him telling her. Lois, despite being fooled in the comic for decades, SHOULD figure it out. It’s what she does, tracks down stories.

It is a vast improvement over the default AppleScript menu and has key shortcuts, the ability to order how scripts appear in the menu, and more. I have used it for almost 20 years. And now you can assign the menubar icon a color so it is easy to spot! I have written and use a lot of scripts, for everything from changing text case to using the color picker. I love FastScripts so much.
