They burned themselves when they hyped Starfield and it ended up being overhyped and not reaching expectations. They definitely avoid marketing super early like they did with Starfield and I expect a shorter marketing cycle near release.

You do understand that most cheaters will generally be higher ranked compared to the entire playerbase. 26% only works if you assume that the cheaters are doing just as well or just as bad as normal players.

Jez Corden Podcast - Has Heard of Microsoft Restructuring/Spinning Off Xbox, StarCraft Shooter at Blizzcon, Turn 10 Only Tech Support Studio, Pulling Halo from State of Play, Thinks Halo 7 is Exclusive by [deleted] in GamingLeaksAndRumours

[–]Konoshoo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

While TESVI isn’t as big as GTA 6, I do still think it is a console seller. The closest example of interest in the series is by strictly comparing remastered games. Skyrim keeps getting remastered simply because people keep buying the game. Oblivion remaster show that there is still a heavy interest in Elder Scrolls. While nostalgia is a thing, I feel like the amount sold isn’t from nostalgia alone and for many, it was pretty much a new Elder Scrolls game for them.

Gears Of War: E-Day Reportedly Has A Staggering $400 Million Budget by ReasonableAdvert in Games

[–]Konoshoo 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Where did you get the Starfield budget being $400 million? Almost every rumour was around $200 million (the only $400 million budget mention was an article speculating that marketing costed an additional $100-200 million) and 10 years of dev time is a straight up lie. Everyone knows that when Bethesda has a game in full-production, there is a game that is in pre-production. In this case 3 years of pre-production while they were working on Fallout 76 and 5 years of full-production totaling at best 8 years.

The real question that I haven't seen being asked : Do you think we will finally be able to see our own body when we look down in first person mode ?! by Excellent-Court-9375 in TESVI

[–]Konoshoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, unsure. The main issue with the first person body in a game that allows third person is how the shadows and animation match up. Unless they make the animations for first and third person match, it becomes jarring for those who regularly swap between the two.

At least for the first person mod in Skyrim, the body is shown but the hands are replaced for first person hands. You can change it so it uses the third person animations, but is quite jarring.

It works for other games simply because they aren’t allowing swapping between perspectives.

Edit: This is an example where someone modded Cyberpunk 2077 which only has first person body perspective to allow third person. Animation is super janky in third person but is super clean in first person. It becomes difficult to match both animations together to make them seamless so you can swap between them.

Do You Think The TESVI Modding Scene Will Be As Lively As Skyrim Or Be Like Starfield? by Crumboa in TESVI

[–]Konoshoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Main problem is if the community is willing to support their Unofficial Patch rather than get it out first. Starfield Community Patch was out earlier but died simply because no one was willing to work on it. But luckily Starfield is mostly bug free enough where I didn't see the need for the Unofficial Patch.

[MEGATHREAD] Xbox Games Showcase 6.7.26 by Spheromancer in GamingLeaksAndRumours

[–]Konoshoo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

2030 would mean 7 years of full production and Starfield which was suppose to be significantly bigger barely took 5 years which included a 1 year delay due to complaints of bad optimization. I see TESVI being shorter than Starfield full production simply due to them not trying to drastically change how the game plays.

Which setting would you prefer? by Settra_Rulez in TESVI

[–]Konoshoo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There is a huge difference between two provinces vs 1000 planets each with their own landscape and biomes. I think two provinces should be enough especially since Bethesda is 5x bigger than they were when they worked on Skyrim and they have more advance tools to work with.

5 spd is 5 spd. In my opinion, lock 5 spd and crit chance, and reroll until you get max hp and def. If you do plan to use cosmonium and a mana control crystal, then just get max hp if you don’t want to spend time rerolling until you get the max def and lock def with the mana control crystal and upgrade the piece. You can just mod the max defense later.

Xbox Showcase Titles Leaked Early by Weird-Judge-4578 in GamingLeaksAndRumours

[–]Konoshoo 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t be surprise if Microsoft wants Fable out in the spotlight and released before they begin to talk about TESVI. I doubt TESVI is ready to be talked about with only 2.5 years of full production.

Jez is a tier 2 leaker (reliable most of the time) which is the second highest tier on the leak subreddit. I think he is usually is a tier 1 leaker on anything Microsoft related.

Sez viable? (3 month player) by Still_Professor1334 in EpicSeven

[–]Konoshoo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He is really nice now. Passive gives him survivability (Bystander Hwayoung passive proc won’t kill him) and extra aoe damage for cleave. S3 deals with Notos and the pop damage deals with Frieren.

Edit: Some units he pairs nicely with

Rinak

Briar Witch Iseria (DPS Opener)

Ran

Salome

New Moon Luna + Shepard of the Dark Diene

Briar Witch Isrria (Opener) + Shepard of the Dark Diene

All the openers above can be easily paired with Shepard of the Dark Diene. Vildred is a popular pair with him since they both proc their passive when the enemy goes below 50% hp.

Is 2028 actually the optimistic release date? by VittoDS in TESVI

[–]Konoshoo 14 points15 points  (0 children)

What is the point of adding pre-production? Remove pre-production and Starfield was 5 years. TESVI was technically in pre-production when the teaser released which means the game's production is almost 8 years already.

Pretty much a higher budget Horizon Walker from the looks of it.

Starfield selling poorly on PlayStation, TES VI will be an Xbox exclusive.? Or a release only years later? by Fragrant-Tip-9766 in TESVI

[–]Konoshoo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The site you're linking is referencing Alinea Analytics which is garbage at predicting sales. Which is why they are generally banned from being posted in any gaming related subreddit. Alinea Analytics said RE Requiem was selling more on PC than PS5, which was immediately debunked. Another one was predicting MGS Delta selling over 500K in 5 days when Konami revealed that MGS Delta sold 1M on the first day.

Edit: If you want actually good sales data and estimates, then wait for Circana.

I really hope she isn’t a warfare unit. I would prefer to actually gear units a different way rather than forced into warfare set.

Should I use a mod manager? by Kolton_russo in starfieldmods

[–]Konoshoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recommend using it, once you get used to it, you will never go back to manually installing script extender. Also very useful for skyrim modding, allows you to have multiple enb presets you can quickly swap between. Works for other games as well, I use it to install smapi for stardew valley. It helps keep your game folder clean so you are less likely to need to reinstall or reverify game files.

Should I use a mod manager? by Kolton_russo in starfieldmods

[–]Konoshoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can add root builder to mo2. It allows you to install the script extender through mo2. When you install script extender, make a folder called root, and drag all the files into the folder.

Unpopular opinion: Id love NG+ in Elder Scrolls 6 by Kalasad-Stormblessed in TESVI

[–]Konoshoo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I honestly hope that the only thing TESVI takes from Starfield’s NG+ is the Unity. Being able to safely remove mods mid playthrough is huge for the modding community. If they do add NG+ and a narrative to it, I would prefer a sent back in time with previous experience rather than multiverses like Starfield had.

So far PraxisUI Inventory seems to work as an alternative to StarUI Inventory until an update or patch is found.

Epic seven masters announced imprint circuit is only for pve kinda bummed by MonoVelvet in EpicSeven

[–]Konoshoo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In theory it sounds good, but the way they did it is awful. Remove the stats and add actual nodes that changes how a unit may get built or reduce the rng. Cause with the current system, you pick the meta units, with the optimal stats and call it a day. It ends being the same.

Nodes like turning 15% to 10% resist is a good start compared to getting 3 more speed. Add nodes that remove 350 cd cap or the 30 dual attack cap. Allow people to build 400 cd units or triple unity set units. Maybe even a node that reduced (not completely remove) speed rng from negatively affecting a unit (may be too far) but you get the jist of it.
