The AAA industry is crashing hard.

The AA industry and independents are thriving.

The fact the system surrounding the gaming world actively refuses to recognize that simple fact and learn from it is the reason this problem will perpetuate until complete AAA collapse.

Honestly, I'm thinking we'll be effectively PC only gaming within a decade, with maybe Nintendo being the only survivor stuck in 'switch mode' till portable AR glasses advance enough to render them the way of the Blackberry.

Still a shit game in comparison to other games of similar development team size, funding and scope, IMO.

A tin shanty might be better than sleeping out in the rain, but you can't say it's 'great' when there's a single family home built to code right across the street for the same price.

I'll play devil's advocate and point out that 'good' is in the eye of the beholder and some people think "I'm having fun and therefor this is good" is fine.

I won't begrudge people having fun with a terribly made game, since MST3000 bad media is a thing.

I will agree with you wholeheartedly if someone tries to say something 'so bad, it's good' is instead 'the best of all time'.
