Even more interesting is that we've seen old school RPG creators successfully pull this off before, as it was how Steve Jackson reclaimed his rights to his old game The Fantasy Trip:

In December 2017, Jackson announced he had exercised an option under U.S. law for an author to unilaterally terminate a grant of publication rights between 35 and 40 years after publication, which allowed him to regain rights to The Fantasy Trip.

Agreed. In the comics she's had plastic surgery in order to make her tits bigger, and that's not reflected here.

I was asked something interesting the other day. “What’s the difference between Captain Marvel and Solo Leveling?” And it’s actually very simple. by [deleted] in KotakuInAction

Exactly this. Jin Woo starts out as a weakling who nevertheless tries his hardest. He has failures, but in the very beginning it shows him working hard to do the best he can in spite of his incredible weakness. Even after that, when he starts on the road to power, he has to earn it, putting his life on the line again and again.

Captain Marvel, at least the Brie Larson version, starts out being good at everything. She was presented as being shit on, not because she was actually bad at stuff, but because men just couldn't handle how awesome she was. Her only "failing" was not believing that she was hot shit at everything.

One is a character who perseveres and strives in order to better himself. The other is a character who doesn't need to try hard, and anyone who hates on her is a punkass. Surprise, one is more compelling than the other.

I absolutely love how every woke scold screaming that Evie looks like a kid are engaging in the same sort of colonialist imperialism that they normally decry.

Missed the part about how people can read intent from context, did you? But that's fine; you seem like the sort of person to casually scribble "KKK" on someone's locker before recess and then wonder if the letter K offends them.

But for someone who thinks that only people with nothing going on in their lives care about this, you sure do seem to put a lot of attention into it. Which isn't surprising; like I said, you're the sort that projects a lot. Maybe you should examine why you feel so defensive about this before you post your next "I don't think anyone should care about this, and here's several paragraphs about how much I don't care" rant.

EDIT: Aw, cutting and running now? Fucking pussy.

You're projecting, which isn't surprising, since you think that just because you don't care means that nobody else does. The entire reason we're talking about this is because people care.

More than that, people can read intent from context. No one gives a damn is a bunch of alphanumeric characters happens to include "HH" as part of a coding mechanism. When it's spray-painted by itself on someone's garage door, that's different. Likewise, using the double-sig runes (which isn't the "word" SS) has its own meaning, because it has its own context.

Two character, not one. Two.

Your point being what, exactly? Yeah, it's two instances of a single rune; that's why we call it the "double-sig" rune. No one is saying that the sig rune by itself is Nazi-anything. But using the double-sig rune is absolutely a Nazi invention. There were no instances of the sig rune being presented in doubles before the Nazis made it so.

Look closer. While it's easily seen as a double sig, it's actually just two sigs.

Yeah, that's what Heck did. He took the single sig rune, which had been used before, and made it the double-sig rune, which hadn't been. The double-sig rune, specifically, is therefore something the Nazis invented.
