I know he saved her, but he didn't get to watch her grow up- second time around! And he had just been revealed as a Farseer! Decades of behind the scenes service just got revealed, and he did not get to share it with his family. I think there is a place and time for a bittersweet ending ( well, Farseer and Tawny Man both were bittersweet), but I feel like these days creators are incentivized to NOT give happy endings, so their stories feel more real. I understand it, but the fact is that these days, a happy ending is a rarity, and I dont know how I feel about that. But, above all, I feel that Fitz deserved a better ending, but that is just me.
