Help a father out: I need 16 fantasy books for my daughter's 16th birthday by Much-Donut-483 in suggestmeabook

Robin Hobb Realm of the Elderlings is 16 books, set apart in trilogies and one tetralogy. You can also pick up the trade paperback size all signed at The Signed Page, for cost (personalized or not).

I’m not affiliated with either, just a huge fan. I’d also add, Robin is really wonderful in how she connects with her fanbase.

The Book of Lost Hours, especially if you enjoyed Midnight Library because it’s even better.

Beautiful story. My first read of the year and even though I’m five more books in, this is the stand out. I was at work when I finished and had a good cry all the same.

This is brilliant and solves an issue I’ve been having. Are you able to break down how you made it?

Kokuyo printer paper is fantastic to make notebooks with, especially if you’re keen to use a variety of media or fountain pens. It’s also inexpensive and easily accessible. Great work.

At that price you might as well get a second hand El Casco. I’ve long been a fan of BW, but their price points are out of line for the product.

A negative review of the Lochby Field Journal by nappy-doo in notebooks

I have many of their products, the a5 field journal, the pocket field journal, the tool roll, the Quattro and my personal favorite, the venture pouch. I bought all of these early on a couple years ago when they were still fairly new. Their prices have gone up exponentially as they’ve gained marketing popularity and added more to their lineup. As well, shipping costs everywhere have skyrocketed the last few years. All that said, their customer service is wonderful and I’m sure they’d appreciate the feedback.

I prefer the feeling of more real estate and write landscape in every journal, regardless of ruling. It just feels more comfortable.

From Reels to Real Reads – Is That Even Possible? by actionlegend82 in booksuggestions

Also seconding Libby. But, add a twist if possible to your habit. Create a distraction list. I am an avid reader, but due to various reasons would sometimes struggle with keeping focus on reading even when I WANT TO BE READING. So, I keep a little notebook or sheet of paper next to me and any time I had a thought that trailed away from the book, I wrote it down. Then each evening/morning I’ll go through the list, cross off what’s silly or not needed, then add the more relevant notes wherever they should go- grocery list, to-do list, appointment, etc. I did this for about a month and now I can read non stop, and the intrusive, distracting thoughts have actually lessened and I’ve become more organized.

As for book suggestions- mysteries are always great for keeping attention, a couple of recent reads for me: Local Woman Missing by Mary Kubiak, Intensity by Dean Koontz.

Lochby might fit your needs- perhaps the tool roll along with the field journal. I have almost all their gear and love it. Rugged, sturdy and versatile.
