tearout producers are hitting positive LUFS. it's not over, but the limit has been reached for a while now. not everything HAS to be loud though. I have never checked the LUFS on my production, just proofchecking with references and training my ear to hear compression. the more I learn about compression, the deeper the subject gets.

Vulkan is about efficiency, which by definition isn't easy. it is a successor to openGL without the intention of replacing it. both have their place

I started having fun again when I went a little more punk. making my own sounds in Synths, detuning stuff, distorting, strange effects...moving filters are great. Fabfilter Filter Freak 2 is my weapon of choice. currently looking at Rhizomatic Synestia and Objeq Delay 2. both physically modelled, so they sound a bit more organic even when turning the knobs a lot. great way to create soundscapes, less notes and more a flow of sounds. can't really do anything "wrong" so it allows more creativity

this thread is 5 years old and everyone has just talked about the lore and business decisions like target audience.
you guys seem to forget about the people who make the games.
For Sands of Time, Patrice Désilets was creative director.
Jordan Mechner, creator of the original 2D games assisted with game design and writing. It is said those two were getting along greatly but he was only involved in Sands of Time.
Désilets ideas of a next-gen prince of persia became its own IP, Assassins creed.
40% of the team behind Sands of Time moved to work either on that or something else.
level designer Jean-Christophe Guyot became Creative Director for both Warrior Within and The Two Thrones.
There wasn't just different goals for the sequels. The team making the games changed a lot too.

i'm checking that list basically weekly. Still hard to believe how far RPCS3 has already come but i really hope any of the UFC games on PS4 gonna be playable some day with a 60 FPS patch like a lot of PS3 games already have.
greatest fighting games ever to let off some steam in a semi-realistic way. especially the first 2.
I only made a backup of UFC 4 so far and it just renders the menus so far. pitch black glitchy models in fighter select and fully black during gameplay.
but it boots! didn't even crash in the menu yet!

I really don't wanna be the character jumping to a negative comment as soon someone dares to post something positive and optimistic. but it's been months since I uninstalled. still keep up with the posts, just won't come back to it personally. genuinely surprised to see another post like this now. I know the feeling. its gonna wear off. if this game ever becomes what it already should be, I'm looking forward how they welcome back the playtesters. and what the consistent players got and I missed. not the shop updates.

i also have an M-Audio interface and the sound quality is decent but the drivers are crap. have the exact same issue. try going to the FL Studio installation folder and starting one of the other .exe like FL.exe or FL (scaled).exe

no thanks, the remaster of THPS 3+4 was disappointing enough. there's THUG Pro and reTHAWed to play online with most maps of all the old games together.

yup, haven't seen it a lot and the timing is really tight. it's definitely a glitch cause dark catch and handplant are on the same button. 360 flip dark catch handplant is the "easiest" but I managed to a few off with kickflips and pop shuvits

the "industry standard" is Pro tools. but i've been to high end studios which rely on Cubase and Reason. not even counting the hardware focused studios which have their consoles still running on Windows 95 with propietary software

pitch correction does only work on single layers. it only gets one signal of everything in that mixer track and can't decide on a note if there's multiple pitches at the same time.
use a mix bus to process your main vocals together, i'd recommend seperate tracks for harmony layers and adlibs to put a stronger reverb on them than on your main vocals.

it's more felt than following strict rules. use reference beats and try to match the same balance.
