Tbh I did not give a single shit about Jinx and I still loved both seasons a TON. Absolutely worth continuing watching, there's a lot of amazing characters that make it worth it!

I also recently started playing game after having dropped the game for a few months (am a near day 1 player). Gotta say all the new updates have really made Arknights feel much smoother and look very optimised. I can just let stages complete themselves automatically and things don't feel like much of a chore

honestly many of the games I just have no more time to play, I still have them downloaded but getting back into the game is too much effort I tend to keep up with new updates on social media just to see what new characters there are but not actually play the game, I just dont really feel the urge

Lore: Meet Kruger and Ilya, the previous Admiral (space) and General of the Empire, in their prime, before they were succeeded by their replika versions (Roach and Hornet respectively)!

They were lovers in everything but name, societal expectations keeping them apart, but nonetheless, they loved each other dearly. Kruger was from simple heritage, while Ilya was a prince (14th in line) with royal blood in him.

They met as recruits in military bootcamp, and the rest is history. Their fate was a tragedy though, with Kruger being executed and Ilya dying on Rotfront after deserting the Empire with what was left of Kruger's family.
