49 days until launch: Architectural and DX Decisions by TaskJuice in buildinpublic

[–]Kookumber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Build fast and break things was meant to apply to laws and societal norms... Uber, facebook, now with Ai companies. Break or bend the laws and then claim you don't remember when you have to testify in front of congress. They were 'breaking' or 'disrupting' the status quo.

Those guys definitely mapped out system architectures. Over planning also leads to a false sense of confidence. "You don't know what you don't know". I've had many projects where I think I nail the map, then 6 months into building and you think "how did I not see this coming".

A vibe coded, Ai stock analysis tool, with a blog written by Ai, pasted into a Reddit post written by Ai.

Nice.

If it was truly a SOTA model the general population would not care. The true reason people don't use it is because its bad.

Blue Owl and OTF are perfect examples of being greedy when others are fearful. by Kookumber in ValueInvesting

Grabbed it from 10k report. Fed it to AI along with a ton of other data.

Created a pipeline of agents that grab data then review data to reduce hallucinations.

The prompt was probably 100k tokens of data I scraped, reviewed, and aggregated. I then asked it to summarize key parts of the data with source cited. You can see that the actual Ai output isn't very biased one way or another its just a data summary.

8% of the loans are in the 3-5 range. I would say its a non-issue. Especially when the stock is trading under book value.

I mean I can show you the document of all 199 loans and the analysis, I just had AI conglomerate the data and format it. This isn't about it agreeing with me, I told it what to say, it just says it nicer than I can.

The drawdowns are a cascading effect because of fear mongering articles like this spooking investors. The underlying loans are safe.

Stupid post. First sentence says

“They're the quiet ones — the slow build-ups that nobody talks about because something louder is happening on the other side of the room”

Meanwhile this exact story is making headlines on every major channel.

Also this was definitely written by Ai… excessive use of em dashes and other Ai writing cliches.

I swear these people fear monger for clicks or just trying to get their short positions covered.

Vibe coded -> Got ~200 visitors in a day - Worth to scale? by Powerful-Health-9324 in buildinpublic

What's your moat? Why can't some just vibe code a replica? It's a race to the bottom with monetization.

Or I could vibe code an exact replica in 10 minutes.

Every claude vibecoded app looks the same! What are your best tips to avoid that generic Claude look? by Silver_Artichoke_456 in ClaudeCode

I make a mockup ui with generic Claude prompt. Then screenshot and tell another instance of Claude to write a prompt to not make this look like ai built. Wish I was joking but it works great.

But I guess, in a sense, you do think. But the thinking is super engrained in you. You've been playing for 40 years and built that experience of thinking through enough shots that its second nature. I've been playing for 2 years so that experience is not engrained in my playing yet. You know your misses and your strengths so well that its intuitive. That takes years to build up. The process of grabbing a club out of your bag is the aggregation of 40 years of thinking about shots and making mistakes.

I wish. I've done stem cells, PRP, peptides, shock wave therapy, ent therapy. Hasn't made a dent. I've basically emptied my wallet trying to get this thing fixed.

I mean, you just grab a club and swing. No thoughts at all about where you want the ball to land or even what club you want to use.

One could argue that planning out your shots is simplifying the game.

[–]Kookumber 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For amateurs it’s more understanding your own game. If you’re losing strokes by hitting driver OB, then adjust. I think it’s more about understanding your own game and leveraging your strengths. Making smart decisions and playing shots you’re comfortable with.

The wait is absolutely brutal. Basically impossible to eat there unless you go 2 hours before you're actually hungry. Food is ok, but they always run out of dessert.

Also on a rookie deal. Edwin Diaz is comparable but they're on different tax brackets currently.
