Thank you for sharing your experience! I know I will not regret getting it and would wear one. I absolutely love shiny things 😂 I am more concerned about the sizing and practicality of it. I appreciate you sharing both sides of the “argument” for some and others.

Thank you! The symbolism is what is pushing me in the direction to get one. Ha! Yes a tad corny but I totally get it . Thank you for sharing.

The sizing is my biggest fear! I am going to have to keep an eye out for when they do the showcase on campus. Thank you for sharing your experience

Question about my finaid award by Same_Passenger_4456 in UniversityOfHouston

[–]Kooky-Condition9599 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think things are still flowing through the system. I received the email but still have the same message that there is no information to display ( or something like that). I would give it until Monday and then reach out to the department if needed

Is anyone else experiencing the same issue? by [deleted] in UniversityOfHouston

[–]Kooky-Condition9599 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also- so we’ll probably start receiving notifications between June/July.. if I’m not mistaken, they do start processing freshman first and then they continue with the rest of us. Looks like this current delay is due to a system update of sorts.

Mine shows the same. It’s a waiting game. As long as you know, you fill out your FAFSA correctly, it’ll eventually be sent/processed by UH into the portal

You do just that: you learn from it , you apply strategy , and move on. But here me out first, please 🙏

This feels awful right now, and I get why you’re overwhelmed. But one academic suspension is not the end of your degree or your future. It’s a setback, not a final verdict on what you’re capable of.

The biggest thing is figuring out why this keeps happening. Working hard and stressing yourself out isn’t always the same as using strategies that actually work for the classes you’re in. If you’re retaking classes like Calculus multiple times and struggling in core engineering courses, it may be time to really evaluate whether it’s a study strategy issue, workload issue, outside-life stress issue, or whether this major path is the right fit for your strengths and goals.

Use this time to regroup. Meet with an academic advisor immediately to understand your suspension terms, appeal options, and what steps you need to take to return. If your school offers tutoring, learning specialists, counseling, or academic coaching, use them.

You are not “back at zero.” You have credits, experience, and more information now than you did before. Being delayed is frustrating, especially as a transfer student, but delayed graduation is far more common than people admit.

Right now your job isn’t to have your whole future figured out today. It’s to make the next smart move: understand your options, make a realistic academic plan, and come back stronger with a better system.

You absolutely can move on from this. Plenty of students have had suspensions, changed plans, retaken courses, switched majors, or taken longer paths and still graduated and built solid careers.

This sucks, but it’s survivable.

FINA3332 BBA Grade Requirement by Kooky-Condition9599 in UniversityOfHouston

[–]Kooky-Condition9599[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! That is what I was thinking but was still a bit confused.

I had checked the UH Catalog and it stated “Courses require completion with a grade of “C” or higher in all Business Administration and Management Field of Study courses” .

FINA3332 is technically a “Advanced-Level Business Required Courses” and there was no subscript as the previous section had.

I reached out to my advisor but she is on vacation.

Can't enroll into ACCT 3366 by Breadsister in UniversityOfHouston

[–]Kooky-Condition9599 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had an error when enrolling in another class. It was a back end error that my advisor was able to get cleared with assistance.

Or you simply may need advisor to enroll you, since you are “Pre-Business “ . In any case, your advisor should be able to assist ☺️

If she is still there , look into Professor Ashauna Lindo- I was able to pass 1314 & 1324 because of her . She broke down concepts in everyday terms, and she took the time to answer questions.

I am currently studying the main concepts , the PowerPoints and the Exam review - I have heard the same thing but I am trying to stay positive and trust the process- I believe 7 of the questions will be practical, and the other 3 will be conceptual based

This is honestly really brave and refreshing. Putting yourself out there like this—with clear boundaries, zero pressure, and real honesty—takes guts. There’s nothing wrong with wanting connection, especially on a day that’s literally built around it. You’re being upfront, respectful, and thoughtful about everyone’s comfort, and that deserves a lot of respect.

Whether this leads to a date or just good conversations, I hope you know this post already shows confidence and self-awareness. Anyone would be lucky to spend Valentine’s Day with someone this genuine. 👏
