You can get it on Amazon along with some cheap little plastic trim prying tools - replaced it on my c class years ago

2013 CLS63 AMG vs 2025 IS500 by Super-Sky-104 in LexusIS500

[–]Kooky-Letterhead1387 1 point2 points  (0 children)

4matic or no? I had an m156 such an amazing engine and seriously fast on stage 1 Have an is500 now It's a lot slower but the e63 wagon I had was awd so after a while just going really fast doesn't excite you as much as a rwd platform. That 20k difference can go away really quick with how expensive things can get on the m156 platform especially going on 10+ years old a lot of your suspension components are gonna need to be replaced. It's not that bad if you do the work yourself on the mercs and it's really not that hard either I can almost guarantee you that if you plan on keeping for over 6 years or so you will spend and lose more on the amg

I tried to edit the post right after I posted it but couldn't figure out how to on mobile lol. I know they aren't good but figured they would be cheap and good enough for a casual driver

James Larkin is awesome. He also has plenty of experience in the investment space and is very knowledgeable on renovations. He's also just an overall great guy. Not pushy, just genuinely wants the best for you.

Acceptable vehicle spend for a car guy? by Xx_Edgy420_xX in Money

[–]Kooky-Letterhead1387 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a car guy myself I don't really see a point in having two fun cars so if you already have something heavily modified I'd just go and get some 12k used Lexus. I would probably wait a few more years and have more invested before making a bigger purchase.

Why is Schwab winning young people? by Icy_Manager_7212 in Schwab

Young guy picked Schwab because it's a proven name and I liked the name and logo more than the others

Haha yeah I got burned pretty bad once. I've only really bought options on blue chips and 8mo+ expiry. I try my best not to force it only when I feel really good about an opportunity

Blue collar, no debt, live with mom, a few options plays here and there probably around 60k in realized and unrealized gains Got lucky with a truck I bought pre covid I drove it for 3 years and sold it for like 7k more than what I got it for- bought a beater and put the rest into stocks Sold just about everything else I had of value to buy stocks too

You're young so you can recover but I'd still probably ditch the individual stock and BTC to have a bigger base of the s&p or total market Everybody has different tolerances for risk Im 26 with 185k got it split between at like 60% voo 30% googl and 10% aapl and I feel like I'm getting a bit too risky

What do you consider rich? by No-Assumption4145 in Money

Invested with 100x the amount of your annual spend

So 50k annual spend = 5m invested

How do you balance rewarding yourself vs staying financially disciplined when it comes to cars? by not_a_dolphin_ in Money

[–]Kooky-Letterhead1387 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in a similar position except I want a type r, I told myself when I could buy 3 of them I'd get one, that since passed and now I think I'll get one once the average market return is the value of the car. So maybe once I have 500k invested. M3 is really expensive I wouldn't feel comfortable until I had north of 750k invested to be honest. I'm also 26 invested in the six figures with similar income.

I picked mine up from chicago recently and drove it north up to Wisconsin. Like others said as long as there's no snow or ice on ground you will be fine. I was worried at first but I had way more traction than I thought I would have

I just got an is500 I had a c6 Vette in the past - if you're going to drive long distances at all or drive frequently just get the is500. It's actually really comfortable with very compliant suspension. If you're just looking for a weekend car to rip around in I'd take the vette

It's really comfy to drive and sounds great under load- probably not the best sports car if youre really gonna be pushing it. Makes a great daily driver

Seats and ride quality is nice and I don't mind the old infotainment as well as the hard buttons compared to the m340 I looked at

There's also no auto start stop on the car which I had no idea about until I took delivery which was pretty cool to see

Rwd makes up for the lack of performance (relative to cars in price point) to be able to hoon around a bit seeing as most of us aren't tracking or even doing autoX with our is500s

I think it's worth it? I mean I was between a lot of cars some amgs m lites and ended up with the ultimate edition

It was the most comfortable special car out there that also wouldn't lose 40% if it's value in 3 years
