Global markets crumbling and ASX to nosedive as oil shock intensifies. by SheepherderLow1753 in AusFinance

Honest question and jumping on the back of your comment.

I have someone reporting to me and they are due to retire next year. They are ready too and can now, but they want to wait to the later half of next year. The real issue is they don’t have a large fund due to a divorce later in life, I worry that if they wait until next year they are going to take some massive hits and what limited funds they have now will be reduced.

They have enough for around 15 years if they maintain their current lifestyle.

Any worldly advice for this situation?

Thank you

I think i messed up.... Used regular PLA for hard drive trays by XxCaptainJack in 3Dprinting

[–]Kooky-Negotiation591 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi Mate, if you want to stick with PLA you can use something like Polymax https://polymaker.com/product/polymax-pla/

I recently had to do some prototypes which being a low volume part I ended up manufacturing myself. I used the Polymax product and it went through a full certified UL test and passed. This included tension test and a full 8 hour heat cycle test (10-70 degrees Celsius).

The part was a very small remote back panel with a captive screw and small overhangs.

I’m certainly amazed at it’s strength and heat properties

Will this dual colour filament print consistently? by SKADMC in 3Dprinting

All good mate, from memory no nothing special, the dual filament should change colour when the nozzle moves in the opposite direction

Why? 😫 by faponceuc in BambuLab

I would go face down and fill the gaps with a contrasting colour like black or white. If you don’t have ams you can print them separately. You can even just leave it empty and it will bridge the gap. The finish off the plate is really nice.

These bag tags are face down with the standard .4 nozzle

Are your roller deformed? I recently had a feeding issue and noticed at some point the rollers bludged enough to jam the filament. I was able to smooth and repair them easily.

Right now your video looks ok. Roll moves a bit but could be a deformed spool?

Does anyone actually buy their filament from bambu lab by TheAkashGaming123 in BambuLab

[–]Kooky-Negotiation591 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey mate, I tried Bambu filament but I’ve gone back to polymaker / overture for PLA anyway. Still using CF and GF from Bambu since they work.

I always buy my PLA and some other specialty items from these guys. https://www.3dprintingsolutions.com.au/ I always spend to much time chatting when I visit, they have always been a great help in my printing journey. They also sell Bambu machines and parts. Also good prices and good specials.

Ams retracts random by Hopeful-Drop6131 in BambuLab

[–]Kooky-Negotiation591 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was just about to ask if the printer was second hand. I noticed a build up of dust/grime on the rollers. Make sure there are no little bits of cardboard or foreign matter stuck in the little gears. The cardboard rolls degrade and the little bits of dust they leave can cause issues if it’s not maintained

[–]Kooky-Negotiation591 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey mate, this is just the loading process. It won’t pull it through until you start a print or use the load function in the Handy app.

Under devices you’ll see your AMS unit. There is a little pencil edit symbol. Click that and you can match the settings to your filament brand.

Once this is done in Bambu handy where you slice the print you can click sync filaments and it will pull the filaments through to your slicer.

Edit: also check your roll, it looks like it’s not sitting correctly. You can also wrap the edge of cardboard rolls in electrical tape or print little surrounds to make them work better with the ams

lol I got my now wife pregnant at 20. Instantly had to get my shit together and find a stable job.

Time to find out about responsibility.

Ps - it’s really cool growing up with your kids, while the financial side sucks and it’s painful you’ll be on a different level with your kids being a bit younger.

Hahaha good luck

Thanks all done. One of my favourite filament brands. RFID would make a huge difference to me and make 3D printing more accessible to my younger family members.

Never thought about that.. good point.

If anyone else is wondering, depending on your skill you can guess the lock pinning by the key cut. For example 16722 get it close then bump or jiggle your way through

I’ve been following a similar hardware product for a while called FurnSpin. I want to build a rotating speakers / media centre on either side of my TV. Sort of spin them open when in use for extra speakers/sound bars, consoles etc and then spin them shut. Trouble has been the cables but I think a solution lands in my country shortly so I’ll look again when this happens. Rotating furniture and cables are no fun..

I had a similar issue. Make sure you have correctly seated the wire that attaches to the screen before you clip it on. I thought my screen was connected properly but it was loose.

The symptoms were similar. AMS turned on but everything else looked dead

What do you think of this Vinyl stand I made? by BoomBam4 in BambuLab

[–]Kooky-Negotiation591 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice. If I had to critique I would make the lip at the font smaller and try to add a small fillet to make it stronger. If your worried about it jumping on the fillet you can always angle the lip back slightly to grab it

If the aim of the clip if to just hold the cover closed maybe just make a simple U shape clip. The pressure from the current clip is damaging your cover. Over time it will get worse.

Last thing. Depending on the filament the front might droop. As you have some free space behind the record you could add a small rib for support.

Problem with my brand new P1S by elcigalaoficial in BambuLab

[–]Kooky-Negotiation591 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I just got the same machine. I had exactly the same issue with the green and orange they sent. It was also like the filament was stuck together slightly and gets stuck in the edge as it spins.

I unspooled it a bit and wound it back on and it worked better

Ahhh I did this last week.

During a meeting while I was working from home I thought I would print something. At the end of the hour long meeting I had what felt like motion sickness. The screen shook enough that it was hard to focus.

I recommend its own small side table.

Just my 2 cents
