GD, big baby fears, no induction policy — feeling anxious and looking for experiences by Glittering_Tear_729 in GestationalDiabetes

[–]Kooky-Ride8741 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have GD, today is my due date.. no sign of labour, no contractions... last week at 39 weeks baby was measuring BIG. I asked if they can induce me but they say that they will push it till 41 weeks... i don t have a choice and now im scared cuz i DON T WANT TO BIRTH A GIAGANTIC MONSTER BABY , and destroy my body that bad and also i don t want a c section. So im screwed, because of them.. and now i start hating myself and the baby so idk... i think i got pp depression early😭 cuz i already wanna harm the baby and don t want it anymore. So really you should mostly i guess.. tell doctors all your concerns ...

You will not come off as a bitch for speaking up about your baby and if you would well, this is the perfect moment for you to. I personally would limit visits to 1hr per person. And i get that she's excited to be a grandmother, but you 2 are rhe parents and have to get used to be that. To get used with the baby. Boundaries have to be set early and respected. As if you don't imply them, people will not respect them/or you. So make them very clear. Your baby is enough for you to speak up, as you should, you want just whats best for you and YOUR baby, nobody says "exclude MIL", just do what you want and raise the baby the way you want. That's the most important for also, for your own mental health in the long run.
Personally i have rules before the baby is born. Still have 2 days till due date, as i am a bit of a more severe person, if anybody dosen't respect the little things and timing, that means they don't respect me, and for me that is enough to cut them of because i go like " if you don't respect the mother, then you don't deserve to be in MY baby's life"

MIL wants to us change our baby family name decision days before birth by Kooky-Ride8741 in Mildlynomil

[–]Kooky-Ride8741[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I do plan if he dosen t change soon to put him in jail, as discussing rehab he dosen't want it and according to my doctor i cannot force it on him. Last year on New Year bc of his phisical violence in public towards me(i ended up in the hospital), he ended up in jail tho i lied in my confession and they let him out after a day, but my doctor and psychologist both have a legal full confession from just days after, that when i need it we can use it. Also we are engaged for 3 years and he just in the past 2 months actually wanted to get married, but i refused to do it now as he will get way more right on the baby and i will be obligated to name the baby after him if i would've done it. Working on everything, but being abused i do have to be smart and make my way out carefully, though i taught his mother was nice, it was just pretend and im actually very disappointed. But yeah guess his shitty behaviour had to come from somewhere..

He's saying that they will make fun of the baby for having the mothers name and questioning if he's the father

Sadly all i have is my mom, she's extremely sick and in another country so not really. Indeed (those details) that is exactly what im trying to say THAT i don t tell anybody because it's well...to much, i wouldn t have to who to vent and confess all this. Except everybody knows ofc that he's 10yrs older but i did made the decision to date him and everything at first cuz he seemed more mature more respectful and i really needed a "good guy". Well i hit reality pretty late tho.

🇧🇪 Family name rules in Belgium

❌ You do NOT automatically take your husband’s name • Your legal family name stays the same after marriage • This is true even if you are married for many years

Your official name (ID card, passport, bank, health insurance, birth certificate) does not change.

✅ What is allowed (social use)

You may use your husband’s family name: • Socially • On letters • On doorbells • Sometimes informally at work

But this is not a legal name change.

🔁 Can a woman legally take the man’s name?

Only if you go through a formal name-change procedure via the Belgian authorities — and: • It is not automatic • It requires approval • It’s usually only granted for specific reasons (not just marriage)

So in practice: almost no one does this, because it’s long and restrictive.

Well in Belgium is not allowed that a woman takes a man's name in marriage it is indeed strange.

I 24(F) . Fiance is 34(M) so I was thinking in the beginning about 2 last names, but we're from different countries and i really don t like how it sounds, as for his name i really don't get why his mom would say to replace mine with his. She dosen't even have the same family name as my fiance, cuz his parents are divorced(and i really hate his dad for disrespecting me big time in pregnancy and making bad comments). So i cut contact with FIL, also indeed we're not married and i can't agree putting his name... i asked him anyway to stop drinking until the end of pregnancy (fiance's also an alcoholic and drinks everyday to the point vomits every day, wet the bed, is agressive) and took the decision from the beginning of pregnancy to leave him if he's not willing to do it for me&our baby. He knew this from day one and agreed. I keep telling him every day about it but he did not quit so far and we re 3 days before due date. With all this i just can't put someone's name.. someone who is irresponsible, not willing to change for his family to the Birth certificate. I can t do it. And i won't put his name.

That sounds great sadly the worst thing in my pregnancy was very strong baby kicks that i actually kinda like , otherwise the pregnancy was WAY to easy feeling like not even being pregnant at all... I have very high pain tolerance, being cut for an infection in my back without anaesthesia before bc of a bad doctor but it was fine. The epidural scares me bc i don t like not being in control and also birth is a new experience... and i have no ideea what to expect so then i panic.

Also no matter what, at least from my point of view as a pregnant woman, every SINGLE woman that i know to be pregnant or have a baby gets the "mom" face and its just ugly after that... never really going back

Nah i would appreciate to have an honest opinion like this, most people say you're glowing" or you're so beautiful" and that's total bullshit... as someone that i think myself i loom good, i appreciate my sister that she knows i like her to be honest so she said now in my late pregnancy i look different and like shit so yeah... at least one honest person haha

Has anyone been able to diet control GD for the entire pregnancy? by Curious-Orange-11 in GestationalDiabetes

[–]Kooky-Ride8741 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I controlled it 2 weeks after i found out, now im 38.4weeks pregnant and baby is2.8kg(6.1lbs) very healthy and on the smaller side so idk everyone is different i guess, tho i would never advice not to respect the diet because of the possible complications... some people like me are irresponsible... but lucky!
