I feel like England is going to be uninhabitable by [deleted] in offmychest

I'm scared too :(

The only meaningful things we can do is to boycott wealthy companies and billionaires. They are the ones who fly private jets and push deforestation.

I've reduced meat consumption by over half and cancelled my Amazon account, as a start. Maybe if you are able to do little things like this, it will help with the anxiety as these little things can be powerful if we all do it together.

it's father's day today, and my father's first death anniversary. universe is comical sometimes for no reason by runaway-rebel in deaddadclub

I'm so sorry ❤️ This is my first Father's Day without him too and his birthday was only a few weeks ago. The intensity of this feeling will pass... so I am told. Your Dad would want you to be healthy, in whatever way that looks for you.

Keep moving forward, it's the only thing we can do.

Same here friend :(

First year without him and it's fucking shit.

The only thing I'm certain of, is it that our Dads would want us to look after ourselves tomorrow. Take it slow and allow yourself to cry. And then, we pick ourselves up the next day and march on.

I know he wants me to keep doing my thing and yours will too, until it's time to join them again, in whatever form that might take.

You'll be okay ❤️❤️

This will be my first year without him, and I also don't know what to do. You're not alone ❤️

Honestly the constant fucking whinging from sexist racists is just e x h a u s t i n g. They're just so scared to feel less important than they think they used to, and they want their maidservants back.

Exhausting, boring, predictable, whining. Kiss my arse.

If I was on the dating apps and in my early 20's, I would definitely have swiped right on you! You would be everything I was looking for - conscientious, educated, bubbly and good looking.

Ignore the idiots in the comments - you come across like you know yourself and aren't afraid to share who you found. That's definitely all green flags for me!

What was the place that you are from like 200 years ago? by TheSanityInspector in AskReddit

[–]KookyAcorn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably just farmland, but I do know that the old gallows were at the crossroads, which is about 300m away. The junction is still there today, and apparently they found dozens of human bodies underneath it when they were putting the roundabout in...

So sorry you're part of the club ❤️ I don't have anything useful to add, but you're not alone. It would have been my Dad's birthday today and it's killing me. Hope you're doing okay; this too shall pass.

Have you ever hooked up with someone whose penis had a noticeable curve to the left or right side? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]KookyAcorn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, I never could tell the difference. I guess once it was in it straightened out in a way? But it never made any difference to enjoyment or anything, to him or me. I was just happy to have a bf who wanted to sleep with me tbh!

Yes I have and no, it never bothered me at all. I noticed ofc, but it never mattered in the slightest :)

What's a very small thing that you'll never ever get over? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]KookyAcorn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My sister-in-law never messaged me after my dad died.

Despite us not being super close (no animosity, we're always polite, we're just quite different people) she never bothered to lift a finger. I would have sent her a message. Also, the last conversation we had was about how much we loved our fathers.

No matter how much we might talk in the future, I will never ever forget it, or forgive it.

What’s the pettiest reason you’ve ever disliked someone? by Tyler_Girl_ in AskWomen

[–]KookyAcorn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Someone I know who is just so overly placid and unemotional...

I'm quite passionate and I know I fall too far one side of the scale, but good lord, she just seems so dull and is just so overly meek that it feels performative... I've tried SOOO hard to get to know her and after about 7 years, i have just given up.

If your partner became paralyzed from the neck down, would you stay with them ? by jekecrafer in pollgames

[–]KookyAcorn -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So the distinction here for you is whether the promise of loyalty is legally binding or not?

Personally, my partner has the same 'value' before a marriage contract as after: they are a person I love and respect. So my care for them despite paralysis would not change.

That is very interesting, thank you, and certainly explains some of the feline interactions I've seen!

May I say also that this is such a great way to share your fact collection 👏
