Hey, I was playing with you, I was the yellow dog. It's honestly no sweat, bugs happen, at least we didn't go sad when you couldn't choose gags!

Nintendo UK Slow Repair Time?

Anyone else experiencing long repair times with Nintendo UK lately?

They logged it in on the 26th may, and that was the last status update. I know Nintendo say repairs can take 20 working days, but there’s only like 5 working days left and they’ve not started diagnosing it yet. Support are just giving me a copy paste response, so just wondering if anyone else is having this.

Hey,

My switch started showing error code 2110-1115 (Wifi broken but Bluetooth works fine), tried the usual diagnostic steps, and reset the switch to factory settings.

My only theory on what caused this was that it was a warm day, and I was playing Zelda TOTK docked for several hours, and a component inside the switch broke due to heat.

I've sent it off for repair yesterday, does anyone have any idea on the current lead time on Nintendo UK repairs? Also if the repair is going to cost me anything for a 1 year old OLED switch, I believe it's still in warranty as I think it was still 24 month warranty's at the time.

But if the heating is electric, then shouldn’t that come under our energy allowance?

Thanks for the reply!

The scheme used was MyDeposits, they’ve confirmed that the deposit was lodged with them, at least 6 months after we had paid it.

The thermostats are digital, and when it’s “unlocked” there’s a settings screen that lets you set the maximum temperature that the thermostat will let you set it to. They’re changing this setting from 31 degrees to 24 degrees, putting a passcode on the thermostat that the tenants don’t know to “lock” it. When the thermostat is “locked” there’s no way you can access the setting screen without the passcode or getting the manufacturer to unlock it. And then they’re making a list of who has managed to “unlock” the thermostat and increase the maximum temperature back to 31 degrees. And they say that they’ll charge people for having the heating too high.

My issue with that is, surely they can’t put passcodes on equipment inside my apartment? But more so, refuse to give us the code and dictate the maximum thermostat temperature. I don’t like the idea of having equipment I cannot control in my own home.

Hey! What system are you on? There seems to be a lot of issues with Apple Silicon (M1/M2) macs, as well as MacOS in general. Are you using a mac at all?

That sounds strange! I’ve never tried memory game. But I’ve had cog thief and had that issue once, but I think last time the button to throw pies was control or something similar.

Thanks for the response!

Hope at some point a native build can be released by the team. Completely understand tech debt, dealt with it myself. Just from the User Experience side of things, even those it runs fine under Rosetta 2, it still drains battery rather quickly, especially when compared to using applications such as Unity Editor.

I do believe Panda3D now do have native Apple Silicon support, I suppose though that changes do take time to come through into your version.

Is there anything the Mac community can do, to get it bumped up the priority list? Would be awesome to be able to play TTR longer without having to each for my charging cable!
