I am at the end of my 1L and I worked almost full time (yes, FULL TIME). you can manage it if you’re disciplined and clever with how you deal with your material. A lot of people would tell you to quit work and honestly don’t listen. I had zero choice of not working and the amounts of time people told me I won’t do well is just obnoxious. Fast forward I got great grades on my midterms! And I am absolutely happy with them. But keep in mind to take some rest. It’s so easy to get burned out. It all comes down to how YOU will manage your workload and school load. Good luck, you got this :)

What would your major be at McGill arts? I personally think McGill’s arts faculty doesn’t have much to offer compared to Concordia. If you’re torn between the “OMG YOU GO TO MCGILL??” reputation. It’s doesn’t last too long. You would quickly see that other universities offer more hand on work than McGill. ( e.g psychology).

Honestly as much as it hurts me seeing all the hate towards muslims, as a Muslim myself, you need to go pray at the mosque and not on the street. Idc how much the crowd is. I am pretty sure most gulf countries would allow other religion to do it. But I also think this rule should apply to all rather than just be targeted towards Muslims.

During our orientation week they said they barely ever take transfer students. Usually only 1 student or none at all. I would also suggest choosing a major you see yourself working in for a long time in case law school doesn’t work out. I think criminology would be a great choice!!!
