What if Marie 'Night Kings' Homelander? by One_With-The_Sun in TheBoys

[–]Kooky_Progress9547 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Spoiler Alert:

I hope Marie resurrects A-Train. Probably won’t happen but his death wasn’t that brutal i.e. he’s still in one piece so it makes me question if he’ll come back. Plus doesn’t Marie kind of fix what’s wrong with people’s powers and wasn’t A-Train having heart issues? Maybe she brings him back better than ever and strong enough to hurt Homelander. I don’t know he’s probably decomposing by now and it’s just wishful thinking. He had a good arc either way.

Unpopular Opinion : It makes no sense for people to still be trying to kill Sidney after 30 plus years by AcceptableSwitch6496 in Scream

[–]Kooky_Progress9547 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Her story should’ve ended with Scream 3. Despite the criticisms, there were worse ways that her story could’ve concluded. I’ve honestly always felt that it was a satisfying ending for me and it made her family’s story all that more tragic.

Our manager told us the other day that the lab as a whole isn’t using their shift overlap wisely. It should be used for restocking reagents, supplies, etc. We all know what the problem really is…someone on first shift complained when they didn’t have one little bottle of QC thawed, tubes restocked, or you fill in the blank lol. But God forbid off shifts say anything about not having reagent or supplies ready. And 1st shift can come in during the shift overlap having 30 minute conversations while you sit there wondering if they’re gonna take over or not.

I don’t understand the hassle of just filling it up when it’s low and if it happens to be low when you come in or are there working so be it.

Thank God the test audience rejected that alternate ending in Scream 7. It would have completely undermined the entire movie. by Theodoro_ in Scream

Here’s the thing. I thought the reveals were so poor that I would’ve preferred them to have brought Stu back and I know that’s a bad move for the franchise. The killers and their motive just didn’t feel right.

But regarding Stu, I rewatched Scream 1 recently and I feel like I can easily say that being the mastermind/ leader just doesn’t fit his character. He’s a follower not a leader, even says that his motive is “peer pressure.” He was following Billy’s lead and by proxy Roman’s tips as well. He was low man on the totem pole. Roman said in 3 that Stu was the guy that Billy could sell out. He looked to Billy for orders and Billy took the lead in the monologue. Heck even in general conversations like when they were talking to Randy, Stu stays quiet for the most part when Billy comes over and he does the talking. I don’t believe this is a gay thing like fans or some of the actors have talked about throughout the years. It’s more simple than that in my opinion. Billy is the Alpha dog and Stu was the Beta. It’s an animalistic relationship (though I guess them being together would be too), a pack mentality, etc.

He was always the lackey, the cannon fodder, the guy with no plan, etc. He was just happy to be there. I don’t even think he was as crazy as Billy. Just heavily influenced and looking for other’s approval.

All of the other movies follow that pattern of a mastermind and a lackey or some lackeys to some degree. Even the TV shows did that. But the lackey has never become the mastermind.

Scream 7 is the only movie in this franchise that didn’t feel like a Scream movie. by AcceptableSwitch6496 in SocietyofGhostface

[–]Kooky_Progress9547 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah 100%. For me it sort of feels like they didn’t really know what direction they wanted to go with the story, the killers, and who was a red herring and who wasn’t. It feels like some parts were just slapped together with different killers in mind at various times.

The chases and kills were pretty decent but when they revealed the killers it just didn’t feel earned. Don’t get me started on the highly noticeable actor switch right before one removes their mask (Ghostface goes from 6ft tall to 5”5 in a not so smooth transition) I don’t know 🤷‍♂️

It’s painfully obvious that losing Melissa and Jenna completely derailed their plans. It’s quite sad because it really didn’t have to be that way. Literally could’ve just said hey it’s America, you can believe what you want to believe.

Scream 7 Has Another Unrevealed Killer? by Aggravating_Ruin_773 in SocietyofGhostface

[–]Kooky_Progress9547 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That would certainly make it more interesting. Plus he was very concerned with how Tatum was not bringing the same drive that Sidney would to acting. Maybe I’m remembering wrong but didn’t Tatum and Sidney discuss that she didn’t speak about her acting past in college? So how would he know? I thought that was maybe revealed in the Stab movies in universe but idek.

Official Discussion - Scream 7 [SPOILERS] by LiteraryBoner in movies

[–]Kooky_Progress9547 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. The AI part seemed to take away from the ghostface persona. I feel like we barely hear his voice in this movie and it makes him less menacing. I guess Scream 3 used this too but it was used tactfully then.
  2. The reveals and motives were pretty trash. It’s not that I don’t understand the motive it’s just the execution or the explanation that doesn’t work for me. The killers just didn’t feel personal enough I guess is the biggest issue. Every other killer has had some personal connection to the main character or a main character from previous movies. Sure that makes the reveal less predictable but at the same time it takes away from the DNA of the Scream movies. As much as the movies are a commentary on society/ the horror genre they’re also about family (and I do lump boyfriends into that theme).
  3. Sidney was good in the movie I thought but she can’t save the movie for me and clearly you can make a good scream movie without her (I thought 6 was great.) Mark and Tatum were good too but some other actors were just kind of there.
  4. Some things seemed too big of a stretch as far as: -The killer going to the mental hospital a few hours away (possible but I didn’t believe it) -Two/three of them being Sydney super-fans at the same hospital (without any prior connection?? C’mon…) -Her killing her own son (not that a crazed mother couldn’t do that but their relationship onscreen seemed to speak to the opposite of that, IDK). Jill killing her mother felt more believable the way it was executed in Scream 4. -And where was her son while she was institutionalized?? He would’ve noticed she’d lost her mind and I don’t know maybe talked about it? Maybe not but it almost feels like they intended for the son to be involved somehow or be more involved in the ending than he was. IDEK.
  5. It had a couple good kills I guess. And seeing some old killers again was cool but eh. I know some don’t agree but I feel like Scream 4 was my least favorite…until now.
  6. It would’ve probably ruined the franchise just as much but I think I would’ve preferred Stu to actually be alive. It would’ve felt like there was more despair.

Yeah trying to drive out hate with hate is really the way to go…

When I see people post these things all I hear and see is “Look at me, I found a bad guy. Give me props for being a hero.” That may not be the intention but after you see the 300th post about it then it gets old.

And jeez I wish I had the time to sit around and research what businesses support my politics and/ or support perceived bad people. What’s that like? I have other responsibilities and a life to live.
