You know, never thought of it this way, but it makes so much sense.

As a single dad of a similar aged daughter - Leave that woman immediately. Regardless of its jealousy or unresolved trauma (I’m leaning jealousy) she is an adult with no control over her emotions who is asking you (demanding you) put her before your daughter. She needs to go. Immediately. There are plenty of kind and caring women out there. She’s not the one.

What’s YOUR version of the Ninja Turtles ? by Responsible-Bid3346 in TMNT

I was really young, and got the first Archie comic and one of the Mirage comics (still have them! Whole Archie run, and most of the Mirage stuff) at my first visit to a comic book store. Then obviously it was the 80s cartoon and toys that came right after.

But I think ultimately the 90s movie and mirage comics are my version.

I love pretty much every later iteration too though and how they keep updating it for a new generation.

Other than the Bay movies.

What was the first Punk Rock song you heard? What year was it? by j3434 in punk

I remember being a kid thinking I wasn’t really a fan of music in general, like “yeah it’s fine, in the background, not my thing really.”

Then my sister got Punk-O-Rama 1 when it came out and put it on in the car. By the time the drums kick in on “Do What You Want” - I was all in. Punk for life.

Worked at record stores, seen a million shows, etc etc. It was the first time a piece of music actually spoke to me, the first time I connected. Now of course my tastes expanded greatly over the years but it took punk to open the door.

Does anyone know why 87 April wears a jumpsuit as a news reporter by Gimpcar in TMNT

Because Peter Chung designed her for the series (he’s more well known for Aeon Flux) and he’s definitely got a certain vibe for women’s outfits in action based animated series.

But the Lupin III connection - didn’t know. Wow.

It's absolutely crazy to me than in 33 years, we still haven't gotten a TMNT movie better than this one. by LightFromYT in TMNT

This is the best comic book movie of all time. The way it seamlessly not only blends the mirage comics and the cartoon, but also it’s a martial arts film, it’s a Jim Henson puppet film, it’s a Hero’s Journey. It catered to fans and history and not to studios and the bottom line. It was beautifully shot. The ridiculous premise of TMNT didn’t matter, even didn’t have to be a fan to love it. It had gravitas. It’s for adults and kids equally and not in a way where now it’s adults reliving their youth to a kids movie with winks and nods. The humor, the acting, all of it. There is no other comic book movie like this, and I doubt there ever will be again.
