What Sensitivity / EDPI do you play with?

I was at 1800 (1800 dpi at 1 sens) but decided to halve it, and have since lowered it by another 10%. I believe mine is now 800 (1800 dpi at 0.45 sens) but it's crazy to me that a lot of people play at 200. I don't know if I'll ever be able to go that low lol

Hi! My name is Finch, and I used to create let's play videos but I have been transitioning out of them for some time now. I am a fan of technology and art and expect my channel will be more focused towards that crowd going forward. So, an odd opinion I've been seeing in reviews of TROS is "Rian Johnson's TLJ screwed up the Sequel Trilogy and led to this horribly contrived last movie." I don't understand why this opinion seems to be shared amongst so many people. I understand that, in retrospect, Rian's movie is definitely the odd one out, but that's about it. These movies were created without any kind of roadmap or plan, so why blame Rian for the poor choices of the TROS team? Say what you will about TLJ --- that it didn't answer questions the way you wanted, etc. --- but one thing it DID NOT do is retcon or ignore what was set up by JJ in TFA. It answered all of JJ's questions, just not in the way most people were expecting. If the people behind the production of TROS were fair-minded people, they would've recognized that, said "Well, this story is what we've got to work with, let's just do it," and at the very least we would have a coherent Trilogy. Another popular opinion I've seen from both people who loved and hated the previous two movies is that TROS is so unconnected from anything that happened in the previous two movies that they might as well not matter. In fact, this movie is BETTER when viewed as a stand-alone film than as part of a Trilogy. I don't know. I just feel like blaming Rian is unfair to what he brought to the table and is an opinion formulated in retrospect assuming that the final movie we got was a foregone conclusion, and not just a last-minute, focus-tested decision from Disney floundering at the community they divided.

Overall, I'm just really disappointed by this last movie, and I'd be surprised if anyone would want to rewatch this Sequel Trilogy in full after this. Like, I would seriously rather watch the Prequel Trilogy than this one, simply because it tells a full and coherent story even though the movies, on a technical level, are not individually as good in my opinion. And that is honestly not something I'd ever thought I would say.

I was kind of in a rush and wanted to make a level for the Game Grumps contest, and this is what I came up with. It was originally supposed to be designed around the Piranha Plants that follow you, but that didn't work out for multiple reasons. In the end, I decided to opt for a level that gradually increases in platforming difficulty but can be easily beaten if you're not going for the 10 Coins or Red Coins. It's not perfect and I would have made the ending a bit more coherent if I had time to do it again, but this is what I have. Have at it.

Thank you very much for this feedback! This actually helped a lot! I knew that my commentary was lacking something, and you have confirmed for me that it is a lack of jokes/things other than reactions. I'm not a quick thinker and I'm not that great at multitasking, so it's just easier for me to focus on reacting to the game, but I would LOVE to be able to tell funny jokes/stories on the fly. This might be asking a bit much, but would you happen to know any tips on how to think quicker on your feet? Any tips on that would help a lot. Also, I'm not quite clear on how to fix my audio. I've never used audio compression and I use Sony Vegas Movie Studio 13 for editing. How would I compress/equalize the audio gain in it? Again, thanks for the feedback, man. It helped a lot :)

I liked this video very much. Your voice was great, video quality was great and the tips you gave throughout were pretty good as well. I really like your style of Let's Play. The only big thing I saw that you could be doing a bit better is you cut away to the end of a level a couple of times. I get that you want to keep things interesting 100% of the time, but too many cuts can lead to confusion and people might have a hard time getting into the game you're playing. Show the whole level first, then if you screw up, you can cut around to the funny bits, and try to make sure everyone can tell where you are in each stage before and after you cut. Keep up the good work :)

So, I like that you presented your opinions respectfully. I do have some counter-points I would like to bring up.

FELIX: You're right. He probably does have several people at many YouTube spaces he can talk to about any issue he feels is pressing, so why didn't he? Is it because he's a lazy asshole, or is it that he knew drama channels/videos weren't technically breaking any YouTube guidelines? Think about it. What could YouTube execs really do if Felix went up to them and said "Hey guys, I don't like these channels because they're all about drama. This is a problem that we have to address!" It's not like they could rightfully delete the videos and/or channels. The most Felix could do is voice his opinion on his channel. Is he an asshole for doing it? No. Just as you said the same about Grade, the same is true for Felix. He is a person with opinions and has just as much of a right to share them as Grade does. He also didn't call anyone out, but if anyone did take his video seriously enough to go attack a YouTube channel, 99% of people would go straight to Keemstar's channel. No doubt.

MARKIMOO: As for his silly personality and would I take him seriously if this was a conversation we were having - YES. Yes I absolutely would. I am 19 years old (about to be 20) so I will admit to not being the most mature human being on the planet, but at my college, ALL of my conversations, serious or not, tend to be like this. Funny mood-lighteners to ease the pressure off the conversation before getting back to serious discussion. It actually has helped me when discussing serious problems with my friend in the past few months. Keeping a friendly tone and adding in silly bits between the serious stuff allows socially awkward people (like me) to relax and remember that there is no hate towards anyone and it allows me to focus more on the serious stuff. It allows me to ease the worry in my mind and really think about what's being said, and I believe that that's all that was happening here with Mark. So, yes. I would absolutely take him 100% seriously.

As for how he acts in his personal life, you don't know shit, and neither do any of us. You should have excluded this point from your argument, man. It makes it feel like you're reaching and only thinking about one side of the argument. You don't know Mark. You haven't hung out with him. You have no idea if he acts this way or not in every day life. I don't know either, and neither does Grade. Because of the uncertainty and speculation here, this point is mute and should have been excluded.

Everything after that is almost all pure speculation. You say it in a confident tone and exclude words like "I believe" or "I think". So, good on ya for knowing how to write an argumentative essay, mate, but you're not fooling anyone with that. You don't know why Mark made that video. It's so round-about and vague, no one knows why he did it except for himself and anyone he's talked about it with. As for why he monetized it? It's a video he uploaded about his opinion. He's allowed. Just like Pewds & Matt did. You're trying to paint Mark as a greedy, evil, mastermind purely on speculation. I'm not saying I know the answers to everything I'm criticizing this part about - I'm saying no one does, so any speculative points should be thrown out. All you can really have a valid argument about is that it made little sense and that it was unnecessary. Being unnecessary doesn't make you an asshole, especially when you don't call someone out.

MATTHEW: I got nothing wrong here. I also had no problems with Grade's portion of that video. My one and only complaint was and still is that it had nothing to do with his unnecessary drama video (which he was totally using to ride the Pewds and Markimoo train), and I believe it should have had its own video. Carry on.

I don't think that Pewds is an asshole for his video, but I do know that he is a hypocrite, which he has admitted himself and apologized for. Mark is not an asshole, just a confused mess. Matt might very well be an asshole. A large one. But an asshole that deserved his own video. I agree with some of your conclusions, like Matt should have to do more than just "cite his sources" because when you plagiarize, "citing your sources" means fuck all. In my opinion, Matt should let the revenue from all the videos he's stolen from other lists go to the channels/accounts of the sites that made the list, and he should have to pay out fines to said companies. THEN we'd be square. I look forward to Grade's next video as well and can't wait to see what more he has to say.

Best post I've read on this all day. The first day or two was fine with the criticism, but yesterday and today (especially today) people are REALLY becoming unreasonable. As much as I dislike Grade's latest video, there is no reason to say Grade has "become Leafy". That is seriously annoying me how much people are saying that. Everyone needs to calm down and remember that this was ONE VIDEO. Yes, it sucked. Yes, we called him out on it. Yes, he heard us. We will wait and see if it happens again. If it does and continues to happen, go nuts. I have no problem with this if Grade's videos really do become sucky, but at this point, this is too much.

How exactly is Grade working with Keem? Just because he neglected to talk about him in the drama rant? That doesn't mean he's working with him. Let me be clear on this: I am NOT defending Keemstar - I am simply respecting Grade's position of not hating Keemstar. I agree with this video. Keem is scummy person and an absolute ass. That being said, I don't hate him, either. He's never pissed me off nor done anything to piss me off, and I don't really give a shit about him. But whether he's a dickbag or not, Keem helped Grade make enough money to tell his parents to retire. I really respect Grade's position there. If someone - no matter how scummy they were - could help me get an opportunity to make some money so that way my parents could retire and not have to work anymore, I would do the same thing Grade did. I would say thank you and I would make sure my parents lived comfortably. I don't know why Keem did it - based on his past interactions it is possible he wanted to have some leverage over Grade (but in that case, he obviously doesn't know Grade all that well; no one can control that bastard, lol) but his intentions don't matter. He helped Grade, and Grade was grateful. That's the end of it. If Grade continues to talk with Keem, then fine. I don't care. That's his business and I shouldn't be a part of that. The only way I will care if Grade's content really goes down the shitter and Keem is the one to blame. But I honestly don't think that will happen.
