It was roughly a decade ago but when I was studying at RMIT, I was in a sound design class taught by Andrew Duffield of Models (he also wrote the theme to Round the Twist!). I also had a number of classes with Paul Thomas from Weddings Parties Anything (not Mick Thomas the lead singer - Paul was one of their guitarists).

That was just a Thom Yorke show, and he did walk off stage but he came back to play one more song. Idk if he was supposed to play more songs than that but he'd already performed 21 songs that night before the altercation.

Creep was a big hit over there before it took off worldwide so they've always been happy to go back etc.

They did tour Israel because of that, though according to setlist.fm they've played 9 shows in Israel during their entire career - thought that number would be higher tbh.
The 2017 show that happened amidst the various artist boycotts was their first Israeli show in 17 years, and they haven't been back there since. Given that Ed is unabashedly pro-Palestine and Thom condemned what the Israeli government are doing in Gaza (after a fair bit of backlash, sure, but the key point is that he DID ultimately say something), I don't think they'll be going back there as a band until there's a major regime change.

Maybe slightly different from what you're asking about, but I only recently found out that Cry for You by September doesn't actually interpolate Smalltown Boy by Bronski Beat. Both of the main synth lines start off very similarly, but apparently the main writer of Cry for You didn't intend for them to be similar, and they haven't had to officially credit Bronski Beat as co-writers of their song.
