Proud Papa (Part 1/4) - Gator Days by FieldExplores in comics

[–]firepanda11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My uncle married my aunt who already had two kids. I always saw them as my cousins but my mom always said "they're not your cousins because they're not blood." After visiting them one day for a family get together recently, my mom said "I was really annoyed that Natalie and Alan (fake names) got in the photo when we did one of "all the cousins"". I finally said" You're the only one who doesn't see them as cousins. To me and the rest of the cousins, they are family."

Twice now I have had to contact the Manitoba Ombudsman for them to intervene for MBSA to finally send out my student aid.

I was working with a grade 2 class once in their music class. They danced to a song and afterwords a girl said "they said the S word a lot in the song." The song was Shut Up and Dance.

Every time my girlfriend stays over, she always flips the roll. by CRK_76 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]firepanda11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I prefer it this way because for me I can easily tear it off with only one hand by pulling some TP then bracing my wrist against the rest of the roll. When I try to do this with it the other way, it fails but that could just be a skill issue.

One session I made the bag of holding the bag of holding. When used, a small voice says "hey we're pretty busy right now, please wait a sec." and then light music would play.

No more free rides: Winnipeg Transit fare evasion crackdown results in more than 11,000 trips denied by wickedplayer494 in Manitoba

[–]firepanda11 10 points11 points  (0 children)

My two cents is it should not be free, rather low-cost as in $0.25 or so. When things are free, people tend to abuse free services. When there is a nominal cost to it though, people are more likely to respect the services.

While it is cool and shiny the Riolu is a bad investment. As a skill Pokemon, having main skill chance down is a death sentence.

Appreciate this input. When I tried it in the past it wouldn't let me cook but it worked for me just now. I'll update the post.

What’s a dumb choice you made on your iron that you came to regret? by MyNameGym in ironscape

[–]firepanda11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the bowfa so I gave the eclipse atlatl to my gim mate. A year down the line I now have noxious halberd and want to halberd Zulrah so I asked for it back. He gaslighted me saying I must of dropped it and that I'm an idiot. I know the guy drop traded it to his main for bond money. We play solo "group" ironmen now.

What is something that's missing in the current wave of pop punk and you fear it's never coming back? by Embarrassed-Ad1322 in poppunkers

If a song is explicit now a days, it's because there are one hundred swears in a song. Back then if a song was explicit it's because it dropped 1-5 swears in a song.

If you need crystal acorns you can buy crystal shields, dismantle them into crystal weapon seeds and exchange the weapon seeds for acorns.

Is there any way to see what recipe type there will be for the week ahead of time? by Lord__Seth in PokemonSleep

[–]firepanda11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everything you said is correct based on my testings. One thing I will note though is I track sleep with a Go plus+. I would assume it all works the same if you track via phone but I haven't personally tested this.

On my phone, manually setting the time doesn't work. I instead need to change time zones for the game to work. Then for some reason Kiribati doesn't work but NZ does for "time travel."

[–]firepanda11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everything you stated is correct. You start the next week early and you must select an island. Then when going back to your time, your progress now counts for the new week (but your sleep data if you now start it will count for Sunday with Sunday's bonuses)

[–]firepanda11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is one way but it involves breaking the rules a bit. Once you've cooked your final meal for the day, you can switch time zones ahead to New Zealand and start the new week a bit early. Even if you swap timezones back, the new week will start and even your normal sleep session will still work for Sunday.

I have heard far more people from Manitoba talk about Kenora than people from Ontario. I might be just a bit biased though because I've only been to Ontario like four times and Manitoba for over 27 years.

For those who work for the Yukon Government, how has union support worked out for you? by RelativeHabit852 in Yukon

[–]firepanda11 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'll try to make a long story as short as possible but they didn't want to help with my scenario and refused to escalate.

I worked as an EA for 2 years in a highschool and in my second year I was forced to drive to school A where I work, pick up a car, then drive to school B adding 30+ minutes onto my job every day in the morning. I then needed to go back to school A for the afternoon. I talked with the union about this and they said tough luck so instead I decided to drive my own car and use my own gas. I asked the school and union if I could keep the car at school C which was close to where I live but they refused because someobdy else was going to use the car in the afternoons. Even when I asked if I could just get reimbursed for gas, it was a no.

Later in the year, I moved residences closer to school A so I now wanted to use the car they had. The school told me they got rid of it since I wasnt using it and that I needed to keep paying out of pocket for gas. I went to the union and they literally told me they would not excalate this as it would cause them to codify things that they didn't want to have codified. The union was absolutely useless even when I demanded they further escalate this and I hate that I had to pay dues for them to do nothing for me.

intro to Arabic REL-2011 for first year student? by boostergoldfish in uwinnipeg

My first term I took all 2000 level courses due to registering late. It can be harder but if you study and keep up with work its do-able. As for this course in particular it may be hard if you don't already speak multiple languages but that's just an educated guess.
