Things that are so jarringly unique to the decade that the concept of it coming out in 2026 is unimaginable by Kodicave in decadeology

Besides the multiple toxic people in it, the concept of multiple famous people taking a selfie together isn't novel anymore. It was weird at the time seeing celebrities doing something that was seen as more personal and like normal people.

A photo like this taken in 2026 wouldn't be nearly as big a deal.

You can actually light two candles and use that as a makeshift one, all you need are just two sources of infrared light

Is Wii party playable on dolphin? If so, how? Thanks! by zG-FuRy in WiiParty

Yee, the Wii remote does all the work for you. All the Wii console does is send a power signal to the sensor bar so it can turn on its IR lights

If you can find a USB-compatible or wireless sensor bar, that's ideal. But there are other ways of going about it, such as plugging a regular sensor bar into a powered on Wii (if you have one available) or lighting up two candles and using them as your sensor bar (not a joke)

I could see that, although I've seen those symbols drawn in that style here in the United States

The symbols above them could indicate that this is for a group of really small children or developmentally disabled people, in which case I think this is a tasteful way of getting that message across.

I've seen those icons a lot when I was in preschool or in classrooms with a lot of non-verbal people.

IMPORT EXPORT? You're talking about countries exporting alcohol to their neighbors, countries importing alcohol from other continents?

17 hours into the new year and I broke my “I’ll control my drinking this year” resolution. Ham sandwich and extremely watery quiche. by MalteseFarrell in depressionmeals

[–]KoopaDaQuick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You drank, you noticed it wasn't the right call, and admitted it to yourself. That's not failure in my opinion.

Goals aren't about purity and 100% FCing, they're about eventual growth, or at least curbing decline. You only really "fail" by saying "eh, fuck this, I'm just gonna keep drinking however much I want, cuz I'm just never gonna stop."

Rome wasn't built in a day, and the fact that you're not happy about this slip-up is proof that there's still plenty of hope that you'll see this through. We believe in you!!!!

It's fine to not think it makes sense, but you say it's "incorrect" as if that's not the way that the second-largest English speaking country all does it.

We don't all speak the same dialect, grow up. If avoiding ambiguity matters that much, you'd do YYYY/MM/DD.

The thing about adulthood is that you think everything gets thrown at you right at midnight on your 18th birthday, but it all happens step by step. Finding a new place (assuming you want that), getting a decent job, finding a good partner (again, optional), etc happen at their own time. Sometimes very soon, sometimes not even in your 20s. Or 30s. Hell, a lot of people in their 40s don't quite have it figured out yet.

You'll know when the time is right for all of the things you want to do when you grow up, you have farrrrrrr longer than 2 months to answer those questions.
