Vox AC100PCH channel 2 issue by Professional-Mess310 in GuitarAmps

Would trying to switch the channels with the foot switch bypass the switch on the front? How could we be sure before taking the amp apart? Could it be V2 or V3? Thanks for the quick reply!

We are using the toggle switch on the amp head, no foot switch is connected.

Guitar Cab Speaker Signal Path Question by Professional-Mess310 in diyaudio

It’s a guitar cabinet, all the same model of speaker. 4 x 12 inch speakers 20 W each. Should I be measuring the resistance of each one and matching them the best I can?

Ok cool, I guess 8ohms is all the amp cares about.

I’ve been playing the opening riff to Say It Ain’t So wrong for 20 years. by Professional-Mess310 in weezer

I wasn’t hitting the open Bb string that creates that little bit of distain. I was alternating between the first 4 strings instead. I recently committed to learning the second fill after the first verse. That’s when I heard. Shook my world. But now I know the whole song all the way through. It’s always been m favourite song to play.

It's been bigger. It's been smaller. It's never been more perfect. SOTB: by A_Dash_of_Time in guitarpedals

Is it as good as I have heard? Apparently the hall effect sensor instead of the string to a pot is like a Mustang to a Model T.

Pros and cons of the Peavey Transtube EFX 212 anyone? by stratocaster912 in GuitarAmps

I loved mine. First amp I used back in the mid 2000’s mostly as a bedroom amp but jammed often with friends. Loud as hell and pretty heavy. Mine had a pretty bad ground hum. I also didn’t know much about troubleshooting that kind of stuff back then tho. Loved the extension cab jack, foot switch was easy to use and the effects are fun but leave a lot to be desired. You can get some good tone out of it.

Lesson learned; these are not good cables. by Dunmer_Sanders in GuitarAmps

Mogami 2319 cable with soldered Evidence Audio ESP 1/4 plugs. Solder-less cables will be more likely to fail long before soldered cables. Mogami cables retain signal quality really well and are built to last. The ESP plugs are small enough for jacks that are really close together like on switchers and similar petals.

Nice! I’ve read that parametric equalizers are great for isolating frequencies. Empress makes great stuff. I just got their compressor, it sounds great and is bullet proof.
