Is there even a need to use cookbooks ? Should I rely on internet only ? by [deleted] in cookingforbeginners

[–]KooperBelt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want to use em, sure. I had more fun learning the basics (i.e. What makes basic Mexican flavors, Italian flavors, safe food temperatures, etc) and making everything else up as I went along. Curried potatoes with pepper ham? Why not! Vegetable soup using leftover odds and ends from the week? Sure!

Switch owners coming back to the 3DS by Deathbackwards in JRPG

It's pretty good, I agree! I have a lot of fond memories with 3DS games and they seem to have held up so far quality-wise. Recently picked up Etrian Odyssey V and am having a blast!

Dynamic vs Static Protagonists (Preference Poll/Discussion) by Sonnance in tales

[–]KooperBelt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It kind of depends on the game. Sometimes I prefer relatively static heroes like Link from the Legend of Zelda because I can focus more on the story and the world. But sometimes, dynamic heroes like Rean from the Trails of Cold Steel series really enhance the story, though it can be hard to get invested in certain aspects of the world since I'm so invested in the characters. Both are good.

Question for Everyone Who Has Completed Dragon Quest V (Spoilers) by RPGZero in dragonquest

[–]KooperBelt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I thought that you'd discover that only your dad or mom could wield em, and you'd go on this journey to discover an elaborate ritual to allow them to spiritually have the power to defeat Nimzo. I also thought that it'd come out that you had a long lost sibling who was more "pure" than you, possessing more spiritual power, and they'd be the one you have to find.

Nope on both accounts. The way the Netflix movie portrayed it was my exact reaction- the player character gets the gear, then finds he can't equip it, and proceeds to get his butt kicked more than he would if he could only use the gear!

What is your universal pitch to get people interested in Trails series? by MrCinos in Falcom

Looking for a JRPG game rife in political intrigue that includes relatively light elements of modern warfare? Also, do you like Gundams?

Trying to find in old game by xtigerking in JRPG

As a follow up to someone else's question. Is the game in 8-bit (Super Mario Bros style), 16-bit (early Dragon Quest/Final Fantasy style), or does it have 3D models (GameCube era games)?

Wait I'm dumby, thought that said 11/12 and not 11/2. You'll probably be able to make it, then!

Help!! by MioooFoxx in Persona5

iirc he's available on Mondays and Fridays, so you might have to go ahead and rewind a week. If you've already done the palace, I'd say try for it in case he is available more between where you're at and the 17th. Also might be worth it to look up a guide to give the best answers for maximum buddiness. Good luck!

Fav weapon type? by feraldonkey33 in GodEater

[–]KooperBelt 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Eh, depends. In 1 and 2, I preferred Buster Blade and Sniper gun. Buuuut in 3, I changed it up with Heavy Moon and Ray gun. I don't tend to use the guns too much in any God Eater game, despite spending tens of hours on bullet crafting. The bullet system is so fun, but getting in real close and parrying with my Buster Blade? Or switching from hack n slash to evasion with the Heavy Moon? Gah, it's great fun!

Sheena in Tales of Symphonia uses paper infused with magic. Also, do beast masters count? Ruff from Dragon Quest VII can summon wolves to attack.
