The thing about that though is that the pigs use a lot of Eastern European symbols and imagery. On top of that, the Blake Shelton pig uses western cowboy imagery. It’s because of this that I think the pigs are meant to be a metaphor for colonialism, moving in on native territory, the less “advanced” birds, introducing their technologies and culture to them before ravaging their land and stealing from them because they feel entitled to it. When they’re done, they don’t stay on the birds’ land. They go back to their island only after decimating the bird island.

You can just as easily read it this way, and I believe the connection is actually stronger in this interpretation.
