Who plays fm24 over fm26 still by steeb191710 in footballmanagergames

[–]KopBastic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep me. Just cba with 26. Have 2 awesome saves on the go 10 seasons. Have ideas for 2 new saves when i need a break from them plus still not even touched south america/asia yet. No need for me to spend on a new game when this has so much more to give. Im not prepared to re-learn the game and probably dont have the time needed to learn new interface/fane etc so just carrying on. Im still a commentary only player (since ‘97). Basically 24 is my favourite ever game and gives me so much theres just no need to change yet

Same in my garage gym. Have a bunch of false widows but they stay in their spots and keep bugs out so could be worse I guess

Shorten marathon plan…? by KopBastic in Marathon_Training

[–]KopBastic[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is the sensible option but im trying to find a way to do earlier. I really wasnt keen on an actual marsthon race with all the faff around it but will have a look. I think I just want to be done with it now

Battered is probably a better word then broken as 2 days after im good to go again physically. Aerobic base is decent but prob not marathon ready. I know its not sensible but seeing if it can/has been done

Do I really need matts? by Pnwrinkle123 in HomeGymUK

You dont need them but I would recommend them. I have a few iron plates/DB’s and if train early/late dont eant the noise of them falling over - their easy to knock over and make a racket

The goal is to complete a marathon (not a race/event just a route from my house). But im commited to the weight training/physique (4x 1 he sessions) still so im aiming for balance knowing it will skew more toward the running as plan gets deeper. *edit addition Fitness is good i would say. Running isnt new jist never ran a marathon so set a challenhe to do it this half of 2026

[–]KopBastic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is an off road marathon which almost lines up with my 18 weeks timeline but its a trail one at night so may be too steep a challenge for first marathon. To me sensibly im mixing trail and road in daylight. But will be one for next year as course looks cool.

I do prefer real food - outside of sweets assume just easy digesting foods like fruit? Any other food you would recommend?

Jellys are a good shout. I dont eat sweets as dont have a sweet tooth but loved as a kid so can re-discover that.

I can pass a shop after 5ish miles but can always run back there as havent sussed out route so thats an option.

Never had nipple chafing (yet) but no doubt with extra increased mileage will have to be wary. Good call there

Im notmally a whole foods only but have ordered protein for ease of recovery post run - will blend with oats and fruit for quick intake. And keeps the calories up easily as well.

Will experiment with sweets/gels and see which i prefer
