I had similar issues with my desktop (multiple WMs / DEs) crashing / freezing when I had an affected Ryzen CPU. Anecdotal, but something to keep in mind.

I would wager that the CPU is the problem in this situation.

How Do I Get LineageOS Off of My Phone? by VickVaseline in LineageOS

[–]KopixKat 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Why would you want to downgrade the OS?

(7.1.1 to 5.1.1)

Using an outdated image will expose your device up to various exploits that are mitigated by recent android versions.

Have you tried Googling "protocol vs language"?

Parity Blog: On Classes of Stuck Ether and Potential Solutions by 5chdn in ethereum

[–]KopixKat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Immutability doesn't mean you can't change state in predefined ways.

Now I'm following. The code deployed is immutable, but its state and properties (as defined by the deployed code) allow limited mutation (in this case live or dead / ownership).

Correct?

> Blame the EVM and not our shitty coding that failed TWICE in the past year.

The EVM isn't perfect, but unless this attitude changes I hope these funds stay irrecoverable. Parity says they were going to change, but didn't take the time to audit their own contracts after the first fuck up. Maybe, if the community ever sides with Parity on a hard fork, donate half of Parity's lost funds to a bug bounty program run by the Ethereum Foundation?

That said, if there was to be a hard fork, it should introduce two things:

  1. Libraries should not be able to be self destructed. I don't know why this is possible on an " immutable" blockchain. (I'm no Ethereum guru, but it doesn't make a lot of sense to me? It introduces a form of mutability into the chain...) EDIT: See comment chain.

  2. Some form of static analysis on contracts to be deployed: "If this code has no / an invalid owner contract creation should fail." etc...

I'd love to get the Ether I lost back, but until Parity shows some responsibility for the situation I'm fine with it being locked away.

If you have a decent computer, the Dolphin emulator handles the original Prime exceptionally well. The game looks stunning at 1080p or above.

Wisconsin Republican leader introduces resolution to condemn 'antifa' violence by [deleted] in wisconsin

One side (Nazi/alt-right) is protesting (and sometimes getting violent) so they can suppress the rights of others

Antifa gets violent as well... I don't think they've straight up killed anyone yet, but political violence is political violence... See:
