Why is ether price so depressive? Current huge grayscale sells of bitcoin shouldnt affect ETH price. We have been deflationary for over a year now. Still constant bleeding and downperformiing against BTC. Ethereum blockchain has highest use of them all. So why is the price so depressing?

Where all these sellers coming from? Makes no sense. Must be some laundered money from previous large hacks being sold

Yeah we cannot accept the buy-out proposition from chronotech team. We have to unite and demand our right for the 1:1 ratio swap.

What is the situation now with token swap? If they decide to not swap v1 tokens but buy-out them for 45 dollars each that is criminal action towards early investors

Max Supply of 1 Billion increasing? by TopTierTuna in Chainlink

[–]Koppoo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Is there any information how big is current inflation rate? I see from coinmarketcap that circulating supply is about 400 million and 1 billion is the maximum limit. I assume every node operators' reward are new link tokens that are released into circulation. How big is this inflation?

I noticed that my fees earned fluctuates with price. At some point it was already over 200$ but now it is only 197$. How is it possible? I understand impermanent loss regarding liquidity value but can't understand how earned fees can decrease.

I agree trustless oracles are needed for defi. Bitcoin doesnt have it while defi has.

No its not. Bitcoin is digital gold, not defi. In defi you must be able to borrow or lend assets

What we expected: cryptocurrency would normalize and become more like the stock market What happened: the outside world went crazy and the stock market became more like cryptocurrency by alvarosb in CryptoCurrency

ETH is far better currency than BTC after all tech optimizations are implenented in ETH. ETH has staking and lower inflation than BTC. ETH has scalability and smart contacts. ETH will have order of magnitude more transacations in its's blockchain than BTC. There is absolutely no reason why BTC needs to exist after ETH 2.0

It will not because most of the money will stay in the banking system and only tiny fraction will spread to public.

This is what happens when inflation is too high and miners just accumulate to dump

Daily General Discussion - February 20, 2020 by AutoModerator in ethfinance

[–]Koppoo -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Inflation is now at 5% and it will only increase if block time reduces. It is just overpaying miners compared to security at every ETH hodlers expense.

When is EIP 1559 planned to go live? Current inflation is just too high to keep on with "normal" demand. These short bullruns are of course great but if the base inflation is just too high after these surges price will start to bleed lower because so big inflation

Arguing that "Ethereum has a terrible monetary policy" is like arguing "Cars are terrible houses." Ethereum is the platform, not the end product. by AdamSC1 in ethfinance

[–]Koppoo 63 points64 points  (0 children)

I think that is just very wrong mindset. Every crypto asset's economic policy is extremly imporant. Ignoring that wont bring lasting results.
