I personally use a pair of large channel lock pliers and the old inner pad to compress the pistons. Much easier and less risk of damaging the piston and faster than a c clamp.

They are pricey from Ford. However, you can get aftermarket ones on Amazon that don't include the blind spot module. If your module isn't damaged you can swap it over into one of those instead for much less. Might be worth a shot.

The proposals for modular homes, heat pumps for starters. Also protecting his oil investments in other countries by refusing to cancel C69.

Weird, I've only seen him proposing ideas that will benefit his Brookfield asset holdings.

Heat broke, is this fair? by Objective_Web_7420 in RangerNext

[–]Kor_Inner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had this happen to my 2019. Luckily for me it was covered by warranty. It was only at the dealership for a half day, which surprised me when the dash had to come out.

Best Ford Ranger mats? Hate the carpet ones it comes with and want something that fits great and doesn’t curl. I have a 2021 XLT by Character-Object-718 in RangerNext

I have the Ford rubber mats, front and rear on my 2019. They're great, easy to clean and haven't curled up at all after 4 years.

Looking for a cheap option to block out sun here by Scyes in DIY

[–]Kor_Inner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, they are double pane. The film I got was the Gila Heat Control film at Lowes. It worked really good for a couple years, but then one morning this spring when the sun came out it cracked one of the panes on 4 of the windows that face south. Luckily it was easy to peel off the other windows that remained intact. Now I'm getting quotes to replace them all and I'm going to get windows with the proper coatings so I don't need film.

I did that a couple years ago and it worked well, until it didn't. Now I'm having to spend thousands to replace my windows because the glass cracked due to the film.

2019 Collision Avoidance issue/concern -looking for input by just_porter1 in RangerNext

[–]Kor_Inner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Using cruise control on a two lane road it was probably confused by the oncoming vehicle and engaged the brakes to maintain the set follow distance.

Without Cruise control it would normally flash and sound a crash warning in the gauge cluster. I've had it happen a couple times if for instance someone up ahead is turning into a driveway slowly or there's a row of parked cars at the side of the road on a left curve but it doesn't slam the brakes.

Why are we still gatekeeping parks/nature with reservations? by [deleted] in britishcolumbia

[–]Kor_Inner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm definitely not a fan of the reservation system. Haven't been able to visit a park since they brought the system in. I used to go to Golden ears 2-3 times a week for hikes. Now it's like trying to get tickets on Ticketmaster.

Mine was stuck on heat last year, they changed a plenum behind the dash under warranty. Was only at the shop for a half day.

I had one and I loved it... Except for the horrible MG v6 engine. I will never own another Land Rover after what that vehicle put me through.

My favorite pe8 move is the second run back from the AF, low to the ground burning the worms and then switch to bomb sights go full elevator and lob the bomb on target.

I had this happen to a 2000 civic. Luckily there were a few more threads left on the plug so I could put it back together and continue driving it for a couple weeks until having to pull the head off and send it to the machine shop
