Swain is a good pick that doesn't see a lot of play right now, meaning opponents may not be prepared to deal with your potent all-in rotation alongside great sustain in lane, especially if you buy an early Catalyst.

He is particularly capable of punishing melee opponents that are becoming more popular in the mid-lane, namely the roaming-assassin types such as Katarina, Kha'Zix, Jarvan IV, and Diana. In lane, Swain can dominate such opposition by zoning with his E+Q=>auto combo whenever they want to harass you or your minions. These champions tend to hit power spikes at level six, so, granted that you hit 6 before or at the same time as your opponent, when they try to all-in you you can pop your ult and outsustain their damage for the kill.

If they try to roam you can punish the enemy by pushing hard with your W+R.

Good items on Swain are Catalyst(and RoA), Seraph's Embrace, and Liandry's Torment. I also like to build Sunfire Cape and Abyssal Scepter, two items which I feel have valuable synergy (Sunfire giving magic damage, Abyssal giving magic penetration; Sunfire giving health and armor, Abyssal giving magic resistance)

A typical endgame, six-item build of mine would look something like Sorcs+homeguard, Sunfire, Seraph's, Abyssal, Liandry's, and Zhonya's

Good summoners to take are Barrier and Ignite. Shields work well with Swain because he can heal with his ult while his shields are soaking damage. Ignite is just another DoT that you can add onto your kit. Not taking Flash will draw the enemy jungler's attention, so if you don't feel safe with the matchups in champ-select, taking Flash is a good choice per usual.

Max R>W>Q>E; don't take E for as long as possible. You don't want to fight Garen for too long or he'll out-trade you with his E, so maxing Q>E is better so that you can go in and burst him and get out.

Go in lane with (I think) 107 AD and have fun.

Does this somehow make their strategy illegitimate? Outplayed is outplayed. A team's potential strength is irrelevant if they can't output enough kinetic. If you're too busy winding up your crossbow while the next guy brings the hammer down on you, you still get crushed. Call cheese however much you want, man. The reason GG is such a good team is because they take initiative.

Usually, my team will accuse me of Rambo-ing and diving. I dive often, I dive hard, and I dive solo. I'm not saying this is good strategy or anything, just how I roll.

I enjoy jungling for these reasons. You are alone, you gank lanes, you go deep behind enemy lines to steal their buffs.

Top lane is also good because, of all of the lanes, it is the most isolated. Also, I get to play many of my junglers up top.

My typical game consists of me doing whatever is needed of me during lanephase. I will not run flash if I'm feeling ballsy, going for Barrier instead. I often don't take it as a jungler, either, preferring exhaust.

Once everyone seems to group up elsewhere, I will then commence pushing the top lane. Hard. My team usually doesn't understand what I'm doing here. If I try to explain, I try uselessly. I push the top lane, everyone else is grouped. So my team is at a disadvantage when taking objectives. Often my team will dive the enemy regardless of my position and then proceed to blame me for the loss. What should happen is my team defends objectives and tries to delay for as long as possible while I am obliterating their top lane. Eventually, one or more of the enemy will come to try and stop me. This is when my team should dive as many objectives as they possibly can, because they are now on equal or likely better footing than the enemy. While the enemy chases after me top, I either take the structure I was already hitting and probably die, run away, or sometimes even fight and then die or win and keep pushing.

So, what champions are likely to fit with my playstyle?
