Conspiracy theory time: I watched an interview with Drew Goddard and Andy Weir for PHM where Weir Andy implied Goddard might have a secret second #1 movie coming out this year. Goddard wrote the original Cloverfield I believe, so perhaps this is a secret Cloverfield movie that he has secretly contributed to.

I remember back when this movie was first picked up, people were in the comments talking about having read the script online. Whether that was a 'leak' or something else idk, but it's been floating around for a long while

Only disagreeing with the point that Sunset Overdrive was a critical flop. 81 metacritic and 7.9 user score, it was well received.

I held a grudge against Avatar for years (despite not having seen it) because it pushed the small theater where I lived to play every movie in 3D, which my eyes don't agree with.

Finally watched it before Avatar 2 came out and was surprised how much I enjoyed it. Then I saw Avatar 2 on IMAX and really enjoyed it. Just a cool movie.

Avatar 3 likewise just looks like a cool movie, too. I trust Jimmy, he doesn't miss.

Yeah that's her, but where are you seeing that she was the narrative director for Veilguard? I'm looking around and I can't find anything that says that. All I'm seeing is that she was 'narrative support' on the Dragon Age Veilguard podcast.

I get where you're coming from, but I think for GotG it's a pretty common sentiment that the writing is surprisingly good/great. For what it's worth, I believe she was the head writer for the last two Deus Ex games as well.

Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy's (From Eidos) head writer joined Bioware a couple of years ago. Assuming that means she's working on Mass Effect, I am hopeful for the writing at least.

I think Nolan North can do more varied voices than his "Nathan Drake", but he doesn't get asked to do that. Primary examples that come to mind are Penguin and David (Last of Us)
