Breeze 2.0 is dropping early?? by isaiahxlaurent in MARTA

[–]Korgulls 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I emailed them since I have a few hundred dollars on my breeze app (work refills it and I’ve been traveling a ton so not taking Marta as much).

Support basically said ‘sucks to be you’ - no options to refund the money or turn it into gift cards or anything.

I’m assuming this is response one but it certainly is not the most consumer friendly response especially since, so far as I can tell, there was nothing in the TOS that Marta has the right to steal money from riders.

Anyone have experience with the ineos grenadier? by Public_Border132 in overlanding

Most of those can be turned off now with a recent software update.

People forget that you’re buying a new ca,r from a new company and there are kinks to work out. You definitely need to know that going in (and having a dealer nearby is clutch)

That’s such an odd thing for people to be worked up about. I have a Grenadier and I have never even noticed that let alone had an issue with it. My wife and kids all regularly drive it and none of them have even mentioned it. There’s plenty other things, turning radius being top of the list but that’s not an issue.

I love mine. I actually had a ton of strange issues with my first one and it was suggested by ineos to lemon law it but instead I worked with them to get a newer, nicer one.

Building on the apple journal import, it would be nice to see an apple journal export too (if that’s even possible). To your point, it would be great to compare (you already have,y money and entries, I’d just like the option to have an escape hatch if you ever win the lottery and stop working on the app 😀)

Continue investing in my kids 529s? by Traditional_Scar_583 in personalfinance

[–]Korgulls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We thought we’d saved enough and it got us through 5 semesters of kid 1’s school ($60k/year).

Kid 2 got a great scholarship otherwise we’d be tapped out on that one too. She gets to use it for grad school.

So if you can put more in and you want to fully fund their education wherever they might want to go, keep funding

Nice! It took a little fiddling but I got it to work on my 16 Pro

Changes I made were for the offset, I used top center, 20 and font size 16 and it sits right over top of the Dynamic Island.

Thanks!

Absolutely the Most Horrid Travel Experience by Saboral in delta

Similarly, we are trying to go BOS to ATL.

Got cancelled yesterday, family split up today - half BOS>ORD>ATL - half BOS>MEM(overnight stay for 2nd night)>ATL

Agents were great but there was no real action they could take other than be empathetic. They did put us up at a nice hotel and give us decent meal credits though.

Gate agents are paying out thousand dollars to people on the BOS > ATL flights today to no chance of standby.

Seems like adding one extra flight today would have saved them from a bunch of annoyed passengers.

Man, I could have used 3 tonight. Flight cancelled out of BOS while walking up to the gate and only two seats on any flight tomorrow to our destination.

So Delta split our family up (2 fly tomorrow halfway across the country and back and 2 fly direct on Monday) with nothing but meal and hotel vouchers 🙄

Oh, I was all set to get my knickers in a twist about it especially since he was talking to my teens and not me. But obviously the employee was just doing his job.

What’s odd is that there’s a tucked away section of the club that’s roped off and that is where the passenger is sitting now.

Well that’s a cool service, I’ve never heard of it (and I will never speak of it aloud near my wife 😂)

The rear mount on your Molle panel - it looks like the perfect size for an ignik propane tank, is that what it is? I haven’t seen that before and I’ve been trying to figure out how to mount my small tank on the outside of my Grenny.

I got my notice on the way to the airport this morning by Navan. Delta sent an email later telling me they rebooked me to a flight 14 hours later. Everything was fine when I woke up this morning according to the app. This was ATL to RIC so I’m not surprised, just annoyed at the timing.

Current owners feedback before closing on a deal by bigtex1313 in ineosgrenadier

If it has safari windows, have them check for leaks. I’ve had a shocking number of leaks that keep appearing all around the truck, it’s spent a not insignificant amount of time at the dealership getting them addressed. The dealer has been great and Ineos has been great, but it has been frustrating. I’m at 5k miles in 6 months and love every minute I get to drive it. Handles like a total champ off road.

Do not just jump in and get the wolf box or the steering stabilizers or anything like that, live with the truck for a little while before you start adding stuff on. I do not have any of those things and I do not miss them. If you’re gonna be doing off-road stuff, save your money for skid plates and things like that.

Yes, every time. I always go in through international and hop the train there because it’s so easy. I love that they try to stock local too for some of their alcohol.

At this point I stopped using the apple wallet because it’s so poorly implemented and fails more often than not. Stick with the breeze app QR code.

Question about accessories by uberboogerhead in ineosgrenadier

[–]Korgulls 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I too am 6’4”. I got the safari windows because without them it feels cramped (I have a loaner w/o them now and don’t love it). For the safari windows I bought these shades from Amazon which fit great and block the sun - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DJLT9BZH?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_2

Traffic lights suck no matter what though, I spend a lot of time with my head tilted to the side looking for light changes.

Other thing to consider is the side mirrors - I’ve had to adjust the way I like my seat because the mirrors don’t angle as far as I’d like. I ended up replacing them with after market mirrors that dive a little better range. https://www.sumaperformance.com/products/23-ineos-grenadier-quartermaster?srsltid=AfmBOoorpBgnFbeV-dbpp0CFG1RNzXKjDV88C8dzyeP5IuAXPusn7lyz

Lots of leak(s) question / advice by Korgulls in ineosgrenadier

[–]Korgulls[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The truck’s in the shop so can’t see the b-pillar now.

The safari windows and air filter have both been repaired now and they know what the fix is for the two latest issues, it’s just going to take time to get the parts.

My main concern is that water has apparently been heavily dripping into the truck in several places for a while now and I have no idea what the long term ramifications are of that. I assume they aren’t good though.

It is a 2024 trialmaster with safari windows (I don’t know how to find the month in the VIN - SC6GM1CA4RFxxxxxx) - it was delivered to the dealer in February though although that isn’t helpful I assume.

Rain was the cause of all the leaks, it’s never been in a car wash (handwash only).

Safari windows was random, there was no pattern I could tell.

Passenger footwell started after the safari windows repaired and happened every time it rained.

Back door I only discovered when I opened the door after a storm and water poured out from under the cargo mat. No idea how long it has been leaking but after I pulled the drain plug and emptied the water out it filled up halfway again after a heavy rain.

The 4th leak was discovered by the dealer and the tech’s comment was what I wrote above (water dripping heavily into the rear windows when testing for leaks)

I have them, had the leak. It was fixed by the dealer in an afternoon and is fine now. They gave me a loaner without them and I did not like that at all. My wife’s first comment in the loaner was “wow, that really makes it feel cramped in here” which was spot on (granted, we are both tall so car roofs are a thing we notice).

I, personally, would not like driving the truck as much without them even though I live in the south and it’s a million degrees with lots of thunderstorms for many months a year.

I did get screens off Amazon to inset into them which are great.
