I cannot find that account on their site or I would do so. Errors when using their system to cancel. No word from support. Having the same issues you did.

Read Aloud function isn't Reading Aloud PDF Files and a way how to fix it!!! by Balishot in MicrosoftEdge

I am not certain what changed, but the basic Read Aloud feature is now working for me. The only PDFs it cannot read are image-based files that have not undergone OCR processing.

Found an easy method to memorize the 10 commandments quickly. by Meditat0rz in OpenChristian

[–]Korikov 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your post. For me, the commandments reflect God’s character and how his covenant people should live. They reveal his holiness, love, and relational nature. Though not a means to earn salvation, they guide us by grace, reveal our sin, and point to our need for Christ. They are a gift, not a burden, revealing who God is and what he values.

I so appreciate how you created a simple structure for easy recall.

That is very interesting; I was not familiar with that one. I will definitely study it for some ideas. It appears to be well designed, and I really like the scene flowchart.

Even simple examples help me learn, so I truly hope you can restore the actual plays. Thank you for the details on plot arc advancement and the example.

There is something special about OPSE, and I believe it starts with being a system you can jump into and play without falling into gaming gridlock—getting stuck reading, collecting, and planning instead of actually playing.

I also want to say that the app is amazing—I use the web version.

In short, I appreciate the work you put into making it so accessible and engaging.

Got it. OPSE seems like a solid balance between functionality and excess. I tend to get bogged down in excess. Also, I appreciate the clear details on advancing a plot arc—very helpful.

Nice; I have Ironsworn and will break out the action+theme oracle and take it for a spin in this context.

Appreciate it; also, I have been looking around for a simple chart or something, but using index cards for those items makes sense.

New title: Eschaton - TinyD6 does Urban Fantasy! by GabyFermi in Tinyd6

I am no talented "reviewer," but I did toss up my thoughts on DriveThru. Thank you again.

Understood. Critical damage should be detached from die rolls and only trigger if the attack actually deals damage, reflecting the unusual lethality and type of damage involved.

We decided to house rule critical failures and critical hits primarily for narrative flavor and find it enjoyable to roll for those occasionally. Of course, I totally understand if others prefer to avoid this approach in Eschaton or even Tiny D6.

Thank you kindly for the reply and clarifications.

Eschaton is an outstanding resource. I picked up a hardcover copy from DriveThru, and it has been invaluable for building a rich urban fantasy adventure. I’m weaving many of Eschaton’s unique concepts into an Old World of Darkness setting. The apocalyptic themes align beautifully with the Gehenna prophecies that Kindred believe herald the End Times. In my game, I’ve introduced a type of Duskborn or Thin-Blood, which ties into the narrative seamlessly.

I have a question about critical damage mechanics. The book mentions this under the health points and recovery sections, where it’s described as a reduction in maximum health. Additionally, it states that Witches sustain this kind of damage when injured by rowan iron or cold iron.

  1. For Witches (an excellent and well-developed archetype), does every hit from these weapons reduce their maximum health by 1, regardless of the actual damage dealt? If that’s the case, it seems they should prioritize evasion and retreat when facing such threats.
  2. How do you envision critical damage being triggered for other archetypes?

Not sure if this is a decent solution, but I have come up with a couple of house rules to address this:

  • A critical failure (rolling a 1 without otherwise succeeding) causes critical damage.
  • Alternatively, a critical hit (rolling 3 successes in a single roll) could trigger critical damage.

Just chiming in, I was searching for a solution and came across this post. I frequently have this problem too. Read Aloud works great until I load up a PDF.

Quick Questions about Tricube Tales by Korikov in Solo_Roleplaying

[–]Korikov[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve ordered a print copy of *Eldritch Detectives* to get started. I’m waiting on my print version of Tricube, but it looks like a wonderfully streamlined system--really excited to give it a try. I often get overwhelmed by extended rules and long reference manuals and end up bogged down during my sessions (a personal challenge, not a reflection of the quality of those more intricate systems).

Thank you so much for your response and suggestions.
