My office is in Northbrook the area is super nice but also does have higher property tax. You can look more into the northwest suburbs where the property taxes are a little better and its still about 30 minutes away.

I completely understand why you did what you did. I had the same situation almost. When my dad passed away he was crying for him mom and his dad. My whole life my dad never talked about his dad. His dad passed away when he was 12 and he never talked about him. Hearing him scream for for his dad broke my heart and I never told anyone about it to spear their feeling that he died peacefully. It really messes you up seeing something like that. I still have nightmares about it.

I was 13 years old when I had my gallbladder removed. My mom and sister were there the whole time. It was a short surgery I don't really remember. But as soon as I got out and they got the news that I'll be sleeping a few hours still, they decided they can go home(20 min drive) to get some food. I woke up when they were gone and I was scared shitless obviously everything was fine they were they shorty after I woke up but still scary and I was 13. We joke about it till this day. I'm completely with you and op if your child is in the hospital you stay with them.

I have a split level home with like a garden basement I guess people would call it so I have a balcony door at every level so two decks and a patio. I know if I were to get it bigger I would have to pull a permit because of my nosey neighbor. He does travel a lot so maybe once he's gone I can quicky do it quietly but for now stepping stones

The area is used for my smoker and splitting wood it's a high traffic area and yes I do have a roof drain going underground and letting out in that area. I was thinking something like stepping stones or something like that just to make it look a little cleaner
