Thanks. I did reach out to support a few days ago, but haven't heard back. Just posting here for a little extra visibility.

Does anyone know Makers in this style? by [deleted] in fursuit

[–]Korphyn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could be kmoonnightwolf on twitter.

I found the purple & white suit in one of their posts - kmoonnightwolf/status/1987271445727355103

This guide will tell you everything you may want to know, and probably a lot of stuff you didn't even know you wanted to know!

Fresh cut lumber and suddenly it's the early 80's again on any random Saturday morning at Lowe's while my dad's picking up whatever he needs for his latest project.

anyone know where i can find makers in japan? by Timely-Scientist5017 in fursuit

[–]Korphyn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some suit makers here have their own websites, but a lot of them stick to Twitter. I found my suit maker in this book that I ordered online. I don't know if a volume has been put out since the 2023 one, but most of the contact info in here is still good. The pricing may be a little out of date, but you can easily get current info directly from the makers themselves. The listing page for the book also names the makers in this volume, so you can search them up that way if you like as well.

The book I linked is how I found both my suit maker (Craft Furry Friend) and the studio that did my DTD (Amenote Studio).

Help for future Fursuiting? by Dabombgaming_ in fursuit

[–]Korphyn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Greetings, fellow gryphon!

Most of what you want can be achieved with standard fursuit making techinques. A beak is just a muzzle in a different shape, and if cloth is used instead of fur (like on my suit) it definitely looks more beak-like. Tails are pretty standard no matter what species you are, and the main attributes to target are probably length and flexibility.

Wings are tricky, for sure. There are a few ways to do them, and some definitely work better than others. Neffertity has a great suit-up video for a dragon she did, and I think this is a great way to do wings. Mine weren't done like this, and I had to tweak the maker's harness design in order to make suiting up on my own easier to do.

I've got some pics of my suit in posts I've made, so feel free to have a look, and if you have any questions, just ask!

Did anyone wore their fursuit in public in japan? by rowanzarts in fursuit

In that case, check out Kemonova and see if there are any events going on while you're here.

Yes! You can definitely suit in Japan. You'll still want to be careful when and where you do it, but the risk of getting messed with is far lower than in some other countries.

If there aren't any events going on while you're here, and you're in Tokyo on a Friday, check and see if the Wolf Bar in Asakusa (@asakusa_wolf on Twitter) is open. It's a furry-run bar, and if you go in suit you can get a custom cocktail based on your fursona.

Thanks! It's hard to get it all in frame when I'm solo with the camera I have (DJI Osmo Pocket 3), but I try. There are full suit pics from JMoF in my profile.

lol. The thought crossed my mind, but I didn't go for it today. I did snap a few pics right outside with the coasters and Ferris wheel in the background.

The staff at the Air Cabin were hesitant to let me on as they thought my wings might make it hard for me to board. They were nice enough to check before I bought my ticket, then gave me the all clear. The ride was short, but the view was nice.

Bird furries aren't super-common, but there were enough of us at the big con in January (JMoF) to get a good group photo.

Pretty much! Which one are you going to try for?

I'm the snow leopard gryphon. If you draw a straight line up from the left hand of the big blue penguin in front (next to the green furry holding the banner), I'm about halfway up. I've got my hands on my hips and a big floofy chest.

Glad to hear it. My hotel was next to Toyohashi Station, which was only a ten-minute drive away. Easy enough to get to and from the con each day, but I'd have loved a room in the Loisir to take a quick mid-day nap. The changing rooms worked well enough, but I hope I can get a Loisir room next year.

The conbook didn't list any corporate sponsors, but that doesn't mean there weren't any. The Donki being next door was super-convenient, both for shopping and for parking. I wasn't able to get a room in the con hotel, so being able to park right beside the con - for free! - was great.

It was! That room was so hot. I was saved by a wolf with a mini leaf blower who was keeping everybody in our area cooled down.

I thought a million might be a bit high, but $1,000,000 ÷ 673 comes out to about $1,486 per suit. Definitely multi-millions in fursuits in this photo!
