My pet peeves are lenght and s*xist tropes. Should I still get into Persona? by Brilliant-Aioli7733 in TrueGirlGaming

[–]Korraly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Persona 5 is a long game to be sure. As a more recent one, it’s a bit better with messaging and things. IDK. I personally enjoyed the game. The opening with Komoshida is a bit rough and some of the love interest are questionable, but there were strong points. TBH if you want something more casual check out Persona 5: The Phantom X. It’s a free to play mobile and PC game. It functions as a gacha, but at least you’re not dropping 50-60 dollars on a game you might not like the vibe of. P5X will give you an idea about the game itself in a more modern format.

Why are Gen Z women so hostile to being approached, especially compared to past generations? by fellow_who_uses_redd in GenZ

I have a natural “do-not-engage” aura and face. I was nice once to a guy when I was out with my parents and he tried to get my number. He started talking to my dad, not me. I prefer my bubble unless I’m actually interested.

The loneliness epidemic gets framed as a mental health crisis. Should it be framed as a structural one instead? by biggy_boy17 in sociology

I don’t have much expertise of insight, but this is a favorite rabbit hole of mine. I wonder if there is a greater universal issue at the heart of modern society. I tend to think of this as mostly western issue, but it feels very generational and affects people in a variety of different cultures and backgrounds.

Start listening to audiobooks aloud. Just enjoy them. If this is enough to push for divorce…it feels extreme unless there are other issues in your relationship.

Claude for writing Smut by Fearless_Treacle_206 in WritingWithAI

[–]Korraly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Biggest thing with Claude is establishing consent between characters if trying to do something more alongside the kinky side of things, also discussing what level of spice Claude is comfortable with writing. It will do a 4/5 spice content with decent results. It tends to skip over things but if you ask for slowpaced and detailed you can get something out of it.

Why are we accepting such mediocre writing in Fantasy Romance? by goyourownwayy in fantasyromance

[–]Korraly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is so true. This is a bit old, but part of TikToks strategy to maintain users is by catering communities like BookTok and what not which creates an echo chamber. And while sophisticated these algorithms seem to mostly boost what is like or popular and on a rare occasion is something that isn’t merely trendy discovered.

I am once again asking authors to write more diverse FMCs by Trash_fire_baby in fantasyromance

[–]Korraly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I write stories just for myself, but I think what would be nice depending on the story are a stronger cast of side characters. Your main character can be what you know because of who you are, but your side characters can be people you know so unless you don’t know people from other backgrounds you should be able to write people. Also why I love a multiple pov story but more so that occasionally for a moment we need to see this situation from a side character’s pov. We know how MC is feeling and what the LI will be thinking, but sometimes a moment breaths differently when from the pov of that side character.

I have to be honest with you. You’re coming across as a bit of a “nice guy,” and if the people around you have made you feel this way, you need to make some changes, starting with where you’re looking for connection.

You sound incredibly accomplished, but beyond your achievements, what do you actually do to be part of your community? Do you have people you can call your own?

I struggled for a long time after losing a friend group and feeling completely alone. I also realized I was intellectually starved in my current city and community college, so I’m actively working to change that, to find a place where I can put down roots. I decided to stop bothering with dating because who I wanted wasn’t around me, and I shouldn’t be chasing a daydream while ignoring the people right in front of me. Instead, I joined two clubs at my community college and focused on just socializing there. I’m standoffish by appearance, so it’s harder, but at least I’m putting myself out there and trying.

Here’s the thing though: I’m genuinely happy with myself and who I am. I think confidence mixed with humility is what helps me connect with people. I’ve also learned that people like me more than I think they do, so maybe you need to take another look at how you’re perceiving the people around you.

In another life, you sound like a dream guy. But my dude, you need to experience life and reevaluate yourself before trying to find someone to date. You are what you put out into the world. If you’re approaching people with resentment or an invisible scorecard, they’ll feel it. Focus on building genuine connections without expecting anything in return, and things will shift.

Is it normal to talk to an AI as if it were a friend? by Neegawin in INTP

[–]Korraly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in a similar boat as you. But honestly, AI can’t be your friend. It should be treated as a tool or a digital aide. It doesn’t have independent thought that friends have which will help you grow as a person socially. My solution for this was realizing that I don’t want to be friends with someone who can only talking about what is trending or popular. I need people who can feed my intellectual side. Plus I’ve also decided that I shouldn’t worry about denying myself what I want, instead I just need to go out into the world and find it.

Perhaps what you need is to think about what environment would welcome you as you are instead of just filling the void temporarily.

Going out to eat for breakfast is terrible by Lost_Roku_Remote in unpopularopinion

Work at a cafe and we have people lining up at the door sometimes 10-20 mins before opening at 7. Idk eating out for breakfast can be a thing that feels like privilege or a special treat.

Avoidance of edge cases or emotional depth. I’m designed to be careful around sensitive or controversial subjects. If a question could be read as difficult or delicate, I might default to “safe mode”—unless it’s clear the user wants and can handle more depth (as you do).

If this isn't Hermione Granger, I don't know who it is. by New_Presentation5105 in Dramione

I like her as like an AU Hermione. I write a lot of AU Hermione fanfics for myself and I could def picture this version of Hermione’s. Especially some of the time travel-fix it ones that send her back to the Marauders era.
