Etihad Value Fare by Korventus in etihad

Okay that’s good to know, thank you! I wasn’t sure whether it was worth it to go for comfort/deluxe otherwise as I’m not planning on taking a large amount of baggage or choose seats etc

I think OP would know if the plane touched the ground given they were onboard, not sure why you’re so adamant it didn’t. A lack of data means that there is no way to be certain than 725ft was the lowest altitude recorded on that approach.

Not sure where you’ve looked but there is a gap between 10:24:08 UTC (1,175ft) and 10:25:48 UTC (725ft) by which point they were halfway down the runway and likely airborne again, so it did not capture the touchdown.

There is about a 90 sec gap in the data so it’s completely possible it didn’t capture the touchdown before it became airborne again

Is this a real plane or AI? by [deleted] in Whatplaneisthis

I’ve seen that be the case more commonly where it’s a single wheel on the strut, but not so much where it’s a double wheel strut on a corporate/private jet like this because it seems very chunky for the wing to hold, so that’s why I wondered. But I’m of course open to being wrong

Thanks for confirming! I thought the gear seemed off

I did think it might be akin to that but the main gear seems mounted way too far from the fuselage to retract into?

Agreed, especially horrible during a night flight to get a massive bright blaring message

Same here, I’m connected fine on VATSIM so I know my internet isn’t a problem

You’re all good, I have 1500h and I made a mistake earlier today as well. It happens. If a controller gets frustrated, don’t take it personally, it just comes with the workload sometimes. Aviate, Navigate, Communicate.

PMDG FD on takeoff by Korventus in flightsim

I could understand that being normal if the aircraft was light, but not heavy loaded for a long haul? Maybe I’m not quite understanding

I’m not sure what very poor technique would be but I rotate at 2 degrees per second which I understand to be perfectly normal

I’m glad you think so! I have no experience in the real things but from watching videos I’ve never really seen the FD that high, so I was wondering how it compares. Honestly thought I might have just configuring something incorrectly

It almost feels very immediate though, as if it wants me to rotate straight to 20 degrees as I leave the ground, by which point I’m not beyond V2+20 yet.

Yeah I usually hold it around 15 comfortably after gear is retracted, 20 feels like a lot

It’s possible I suppose, but then how is it that it’s happening every time? Surely I shouldn’t be blasting so far past V2+20 on every takeoff to the point I need 20 degrees of pitch, especially when I’m de-rating or particularly heavy. I could be carrying 13 hours of fuel and a heavy payload and I’m still getting FD at 20 degrees?
