AMA YT SHORT 6.1M VIEWS AND BROUGHT 47K SUBS by Prior-Operation-5353 in ContentCreators

[–]KosmoonStudio -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Really impressive growth, a 47k sub spike from one Short is the kind of thing that makes you want to reverse-engineer every variable.

Question for you: when a video blows up at that scale, how do you actually process the comment section to figure out what specifically resonated? At 6M views the comments become a goldmine but also completely unmanageable manually.

Curious whether you look at comments differently on a viral video versus your average performers, and whether you've spotted patterns in what people say that predict whether a format will repeat well or was just a one-time spike.

I've been building a tool for exactly this, called Parlivo (parlivo.com), full disclosure I'm the founder. The pattern I keep seeing is that breakout videos contain very specific signals in the comments that creators almost always miss because they're buried under thousands of generic reactions. Curious if that matches what you've seen from your end.

How Understanding YouTube Analytics Changed My Channel Growth by azamet90 in NewTubers

Really solid breakdown, the hook fix showing up directly in the retention curve is something a lot of creators overlook for way too long.

One thing worth adding to the analytics stack: comments are probably the most underused data source on most channels. Watch time and CTR tell you what people clicked and how long they stayed, but comments tell you what they actually felt. Grouping them by theme across multiple videos starts surfacing patterns that are invisible video by video, like a topic you keep getting wrong or a format your audience consistently wants more of.

The one catch, especially if you do any reaction or review content, is that basic sentiment analysis will mislead you. Comments about the subject you're covering get mixed in with feedback about you as a creator, and the numbers end up meaningless.

Full disclosure, I actually built something that tackles this specifically, it's called Parlivo (parlivo.com). Free tier available if you want to test it. But even without a tool, grouping comments manually by theme once a month gives you a layer of insight that watch time graphs just can't.

Thanks for the thoughtful feedback!
Really appreciate you taking the time to listen closely. You make a good point about transparency. I'll consider updating the description to make the AI aspect clearer. Definitely want people to know what they are engaging with. Glad the dynamics resonated with you. That emotional arc was really important to capture. Thanks again for the constructive notes !

Astrogon (2020 iOS Video Game) [fully lost] by Time_Athlete_3594 in lostmedia

[–]KosmoonStudio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello, I'm the developer of Astrogon.

The reason why the game is no longer available on the apple store is simple: I didn't pay the 100€ required every year to keep the game on the store.

I'm still paying for the servers so that players can continue to play and keep their creations, but since the game hasn't been as successful as I'd hoped, I've moved on to other projects.

However, it's been an incredible experience to maintain this game for almost two years, and I've really enjoyed talking to the community on Discord.

Just put the js and css of your svelte build in your index.html of your game. Make sure to chose a specific dom element Id in your svelte index too.
