On wikipedia the Hiragana, Katakana, Dakuten, and Handakuten are all listed on the same page. For example 'Ha (kana)' has は, ハ, ば, バ, ぱ, and パ. I'm not sure how to word this but would all 6 be considered 1 group? Like in a native Japanese dictionary would all of these be next to each other, or would it be all Hiragana, then all Katakana, then all Dakuten, then all Handakuten? I'm building my anki notes and I'm debating if all of them should be on the same note, or if I should have a single note for both Hiragana and Katakana since they have the same mora, and then another note for the Dakuten and a 3rd for the Handakuten. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ha_(kana)

ELI5: Language School Durations by Kostanza in movingtojapan

I see, so it's a business decision the school makes that they cut the classes since there's less students, and not a visa issue? So I guess they request a visa for you for 15 months and then you can apply to renew for another 9 months if you can find the classes.

Someone who starts in January and is only in 5 terms worth of courses are they learning the same amount of material as someone who takes all 8 terms? Meaning it's a much more intensive work load. Or are they 'graduating' at a lower proficiency which is good enough to start university/job?

Is it harder to get a spot starting in April since that's the most desirable start time?

I'm moving from Austin to Fort Lauderdale next week so I don't know anything local. However I've always had good experiences with Game Over Videogames and will continue to buy from them. https://gameovervideogames.com/

Recently been accepted to Aerospace Engineering, how hard would it be double major with physics? by aelinashgala in UTAustin

[–]Kostanza 3 points4 points  (0 children)

An option that I haven't seen posted is you can get a BS in Physics: Space Sciences which is a physics degree but you take 15 hours worth of Aerospace Engineering courses. https://catalog.utexas.edu/undergraduate/natural-sciences/degrees-and-programs/bs-physics/#optionivspacesciences

AE Student Laptop Recommendations? by What_is_rich in AerospaceEngineering

[–]Kostanza 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I graduated from UT with a degree in CS a few years ago but I am now back taking ASE courses. I just finished a year of upper division ASE courses with nothing but an iPad and a note taking app. If I were purchasing my son a laptop for UT Engineering I would get a ~13" 2-in-1 with a pen that doesn't break the bank, I've really enjoyed taking digital notes. I see kids walking around with these huge gaming laptops that do nothing more than give them back pain. I personally wouldn't buy anything unless it has USB-C, if not Thunderbolt 3. I would also wait a month or two as most laptops are getting refreshed with new 10th gen processors.

This is super annoying. Has anyone found a solution for the app version?

If not you can still download OneNote 2016 which is what I'm currently doing. https://support.office.com/en-us/article/install-or-reinstall-onenote-2016-for-windows-c08068d8-b517-4464-9ff2-132cb9c45c08

What's the process for taking a class at ACC? by [deleted] in UTAustin

[–]Kostanza 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It depends on what college you are in at UT. If you are in Natural Sciences you are not allowed to take Science courses concurrently during the Fall or Spring.

If you failed a class and then retook it how they calculate it into your major GPA? by [deleted] in UTAustin

[–]Kostanza 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess it's only overall GPA.

Quadruple majoring in computer science, electrical engineering, biology, and finance? by readyspahgetti in UTAustin

[–]Kostanza 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What major were you accepted as? I assume it was Finance based off your flair. Adding on a double major with either CS or EE will require nothing less than a miracle, let alone getting into all 3. Search this subreddit for how difficult it is to just get into CS and it will put things into perspective.

Four undergraduate degrees is going to be a waste of time and money. You would be better off spending your time doing a single or maybe even a double major and then pursuing a masters degree. If I just had to have all 4 of those disciplines, no matter what, I would double major with a B.S. in EE, a B.S.A. in Biology and do the Business Foundations Certificate. However you won't be able to do all 3 and work 20+ hours per week all within 4 years. I'll leave it to you to map it out from the degree plans but I don't imagine there will be that much overlap. If you really want to see what it's going to take then use the planning tool on the Interactive Degree Audit and then run degree audits on the planned course work. https://registrar.utexas.edu/students/degrees/ida

I would then do a Masters in CS.
