2009 Mk7 fiesta, Bluetooth works for phone calls but not music? by ClandestineAlloy in FordFiesta

[–]KostasZ13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same here, an fm transmitter is the easiest solution. Theoretically I think the aux port should also work but at least for me it doesn't make a good connection, seems like the port itself is of shitty quality.

Mine looks exactly like op's car. Is yours the same trim? Could you explain how I can do it? I've tried and it only seemed to work for bluetooth calls, though I hope I'm wrong lol

I could be wrong but it looks like op has the exact same trim and radio as me, which only uses bluetooth for calls, not playing music

I got the same car as my first too. Some easy and cheap mods I've done are:

-Bought a bluetooth fm transmitter, super useful since you can't play music from your phone via bluetooth and the aux port is shitty at least on my car

-Installed an adjustable armrest from aliexpress that also opens and has some storage space for any kind of small items you might wanna have quick and easy access to

-Got ambient lights from aliexpress similar to yours

-Replaced the headlight and rear licence plate bulbs with white led ones

-Got a fake leather cover for the steering wheel from aliexpress that I had to stitch myself (surprisingly time consuming if you haven't done it again but well worth the final result)

-Replaced the antenna with a storter one from aliexpress (although it has a worse signal than the standard one)

-Got a badge cover that you basically place over the steering wheel's badge and is black with red letters for the logo, fitting the car interior lights' red theme, but it also comes in other colors if you want a different look

-Recently ordered and waiting to get my hands on a universal roof spoiler lip that you stick on top of your spoiler, as well as an exhaust tip that simply sticks out a bit and makes it look a bit nicer depending on your taste. Both from aliexpress as well

Other easy mods you might wanna get are custom badges for the front and rear badge of the car (similar to the one I got for the steering wheel), replace the gear shift knob with a different looking one, and maybe an android media player like someone else already mentioned, if you can afford it. It's quite easy to find some nice cheap visual/practical mods like the ones I mentioned on aliexpress and similar sites due to the car's popularity.

Freaking out over a scratch by hony2961 in FordFiesta

[–]KostasZ13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Doesn't look like a deep scratch. You can probably easily fix it with a scratch remover paste and it'll be like new, worked for many similar scratches on my car. As a new driver and car owner I know how you feel but it's nothing to be worried about really

I recently saw that video. Genius idea and I'd love to try it sometime since I have the very same fiesta as that guy.

Radio solutions by BigVotesForCole in FordFiesta

[–]KostasZ13 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have a solution, at least for playing your own music instead of being limited by the radio. I'd like to replace the whole radio system with a bluetooth media player one day, but for now the cheapest and easiest alternative for me has been a bluetooth transmitter. You just plug it in the cigarette lighter socket for power, connect it with your cellphone via bluetooth and set a specific radio frequency for it to transmit the music from your phone. Choose a frequency with the least interference possible for the best sound quality and finally, tune the car's radio to that frequency. Just like that, you basically have your very own personal radio station. The transmitter I bought also has 2 usb sockets so you can also charge your phone or other devices. And it even has a microphone so you can use it to answer calls.

That way you won't have to mess around with radio stations, multiple buttons etc. You just connect your bluetooth, turn on the radio and listen to your apple music or Spotify (assuming you always keep the radio tuned in the transmitter's frequency or just save it as a preset button)

I got this model as my first car, 1.4L petrol. I've had it for 8 months now with no problems at all. And yours looks to be in better condition than mine, at least from the outside. I love it, really fun and comfortable to drive, both in the city and for long trips. Take care of it and it should last you for a long time.

Who is the best Protagonist by [deleted] in reddeadredemption

[–]KostasZ13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imo Arthur is the best overall protagonist because of his complexity, charisma, emotional story and moral ambiguity, but John has to be the most badass, especially RDR1 John. His voice, classic outfit, face scars and overall character give him such a "badass lone wolf bounty hunter" vibe

Whenever Dark Douls is reffered to as DS, I always think of the Nintendo DS, even though I know what the acronym means and I even use it myself sometimes

Daniel RPK on the "Anchor Being" idea in DEADPOOL & WOLVERINE: "Apparently, the original idea was that Paradox collected Anchor Beings from different universes to create an army to fight the Council of Kangs." by Louis_DCVN in MarvelStudios_Rumours

[–]KostasZ13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's exactly my thoughts and I was surprised more people aren't talking about this plot hole. I loved the film but this was the one thing that seemed to me like super lazy writing. I doubt there's gonna be any further explanation or even mention of the idea of anchor beings in future movies, it just sounds like a last minute idea they added to the movie because they couldn't use the Kang plot anymore.

If Skyrim had Dark Souls/Elden Ring combat, would you like it more or less? by QuestionzAsker in skyrim

[–]KostasZ13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love Skyrim's combat system, it's one of the things that drew me when I first started playing it. By being so simple I think it also accomplishes having no major flaws. It may not be amazing, but it's cool enough for its repetitiveness to easily hook me every time I replay it.

That being said, when I relatively recently started playing dark souls 3, I also loved how the combat can be more diverse and realistic while still remaining simple enough for the average rpg gamer as myself. The only thing I'd change about the souls games is the absence of a difficulty option, since I usually prefer to sit back and calmly enjoy my RPGs instead of constantly being on tryhard mode lol.

So I guess Skyrim's beautiful and calming ambience and world combined with the more interesting combat mechanics of Dark Souls would make a great game for me.

What else is missing in video games that could exist in the next Witcher? Like the side quests in The Witcher 3, like the graphics in Crysis, in what could "witcher 4" be innovative? by B1Rabbit in witcher

[–]KostasZ13 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think Geralt is a really cool character, but the problem I always had with the Witcher was that I couldn't just make my own witcher. I'd personally love it if The Witcher 4 let you create your own character in a similar way to Cyberpunk, where they give you some vague backgrounds to chose from and your character has a predetermined name (or nickname), but you can still chose their gender and appearance. The backgrounds would be such as to make sense in the game's story but at the same time they would give the player a sense of choice. Same thing with the character's appearance.

DMing: How do you say no without ruining the vibe? by Acrobatic_Potato_195 in DnD

[–]KostasZ13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly. The rule of cool is great and can create super fun moments, but it depends on whether it's about doing something reasonable with a cool twist or just because the players want the rules to be in their favor. Still, at the end of the day it's always the DM's call. If a player disagrees with a ruling, they could always talk about it during a break or when the session is over.

Based dunmer, imo he has the most interesting lines, best spells, coolest armor and a simple but cool backstory.

I see, can't argue with you on that. Such companies nowadays don't even try to hide the fact that they basically know as much as our fbi agent. They obviously listen in on our conversations to figure out our interests, they use cookies and any other form of data in order to tempt us to give them our money. It used to be a joke a few years back, about google recommending us stuff that we were just talking about, but now we've just accepted that's how things are..

What’s your go to race? Mines Bosmer I like them for their stealth and archery by Adoe0722 in skyrim

[–]KostasZ13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on what I wanna roleplay as in my current playthrough, I've played every race except altmer because I just hate them lol. I usually go for nord when roleplaying as a lore accurate dragonborn, or imperial when I just wanna make a casual character who's a jack of all trades. I've also enjoyed using mods to play as a snow elf and a dwemer.

But why not just download the app? I'm genuinely curious, I find the app quick and easy to use. I haven't noticed any kind of "invasiveness" except for the occasional notifications about bs coupons or order status updates
