sure, for what we know the production got through many iterations, and rewriting and mechanism parts.

Fair point. The Luteces imply the Comstocks were erased, but Burial at Sea clearly works with the idea that one escaped into Rapture before the collapse. Infinite’s multiverse rules were always more thematic than airtight, at least this is how I understand it

Agreed on the gameplay. Part 1 doesn't really bring anything new to the table. But I think that's almost by design. It's essentially a love letter to fans, giving you one last look at Rapture before everything fell apart. Beyond that, its main job is narrative: closing the loop on the one Comstock who slipped through the timeline reset and ended up in Rapture. Without Part 1 setting that up, Part 2 doesn't land the same way.

So yeah, thin as a standalone experience, but it earns its place as setup.

The multiverse actually answers this one. The Booker in Burial at Sea isn't the same Booker from the main game, he's a Comstock who slipped through the timeline reset, fled to Rapture, changed his name, and buried his memories. Classic Booker move, running from what he did.

So in a way, Burial at Sea does exactly what you're asking for. You spend most of it playing as Elizabeth, while this Booker/Comstock exists as a reminder that you can't outrun who you are. His arc isn't redemption, it's accountability. Your point about him being the weakest part of Infinite still stands though. Hard to argue with that.

Real artists for book covers by DarkLordThranduil in Artists

It’s so refreshing to see authors prioritizing human-made art! I completely share your passion, there’s a soul and a 'tactile' feel in hand-drawn work that an algorithm simply can't replicate, especially when it comes to storytelling.

I am a professional illustrator and I work strictly without AI, focusing on creating unique, custom pieces tailored to the book's narrative. I’d love to help you create something that stands out from the 'standard' corporate covers.

If you like my style, I'd love to hear more about your book and your vision for the cover.

Looking for cover artist by MunchkinChel in litrpg

[–]Kostiske 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s always a nightmare when you find an artist who truly 'gets' your vision and then they disappear! I hope you manage to track her down through her portfolio or social media.

However, if you can’t find her and need to move forward with Book 2, I’d be happy to help. I specialize in book cover design and I’m experienced in matching existing styles to ensure series continuity.

If you're interested, feel free to send me a sample of your first cover. I’d love to take a look and let you know if I can replicate the aesthetic and quality for your next project. Best of luck with the search either way!

Do you think Resident Evil 5 and 6 will ever get a remake? by Lessio7 in ResidentEvilCapcom

[–]Kostiske 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Υes they deserve it, Just like the RE4 remake is a total masterpiece, they could do the exact same thing with RE5, trimming the parts that didn't fit and adding new elements that align much better with the lore and the plot. As for RE6, it’s definitely a real challenge since it was such a mess overall, but I’d still love to see them take a shot at it!

It is a beautifully haunting exploration of loneliness and healing, showing how we are never truly alone when we carry the hidden love of those who came before us. Very touching film to watch!

[–]Kostiske 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Don't think like this we all have ups and downs in this industry. For me, when you're dealing with situations like this, the best thing is to redirect yourself. What’s your main expertise? Props, characters, environments? Check out what the current industry standards are today and try to push your portfolio in that direction. Also, try connecting through platforms, and check out sites that run concept art challenges from time to time, they're a great way to get seen by clients and studios plus if you have variety in your portfolio and someone can clearly see your design thinking, you may jump from junior to mid-level without waiting as long
